I think everyone can relate to this and has had the same conversation with people. When someone finds out you are into cigars, it is like you open the gate for a slew of questions. Here is a conversation I had tonight with someone I met, but it is the same conversation I think I have had with people a hundred times:

Guy: So you smoke a lot of cigars?

Alex: Yes you could say that.

Guy: So what is the best cigar?

Alex: The Cusano 18. It is masterfully rolled and has an absolutely addictive taste. I have never had one burn badly and they are just excellent. Anyone who likes any type of cigar seems to like this one. It is a real crowd pleaser.

Guy: How much does it cost?

Alex: About $5.00

Guy: So then what is the best cigar?

Alex: Uuuhhhhhhh (confused look)

Far too many people equate quality with price. There are so many great cigars out there right now that can be had for $5.00 I hope more poeple realize that the best is not always the most expensive. In my experience it has been quite the opposit.

On a side note while I am ranting about Cusanos, I would not be surprised if someone told me that it is not in fact 18 year old tobacco in the filler but rather crack. I am so damn addicted to these things, that I should be selling Cusano back my empty boxes and make a small fortune. The Corojo is a damn good cigar too.

Anyway, for anyone that is looking for something to try and you have not smoked a Cusano 18, Hermanos, Corojo, or C10 I highly recommend them all. But dont say I did not warn you when they become the cigar you compare everything else to.

END RANT....

Amen
the 1997 corojo toro is one of my top 5 favorite cigars of all time. the 1996 is good too, but its not as good as the 97 IMHO

My two favorite NC's are of course the Cameroon label and the C10. C10 just can't be beat!!

I think the C10 is the best, but not by much. As for the Cusano 18, I like the Paired Maduro much better than the regular.

For the price, Cusano (C10 and 18 Paired) and CAO (Black and Brazillia) are my favorites.

I would definitely believe the crack theory too.

Well we are in for a treat then becuase cusano is sending 6 boxes of C10 corona and 4 boxes of 18 paired maduros for the herf.

Capt... would it surprise you then if I told you that Cusano makes our Cameroon label for us.... LOL man I just love his cigars.

No way! That explains it! And here I thought I just loved the Cameroons because Capt was sending subliminal messages

I am going to pass out........

A friend of mine says that they put crack into Tim Hortons coffee, and that is why it is so popular too.

But seriously, those Cusanos are fine cigars!!

So Alex, what's the best cigar? The Cusano 18 paired maduro or Cusano 18 paired Connecticut?

Out of the two, I'd have to vote for the Connecticut. This strikes me as odd, since if I had to pick a favorite wrapper I'd say maduro without hesitation. Still, I think the C18 Conn. is the best Connecticut I've had, and I'd usually take one over the C18 Maduro.
I wouldn't put either of them on my list of absolute favorites, but I think I'd be more likely to recommend the C18 Connecticut than most or all of my personal favorites and it would probably be my choice if I were to buy a box for a party. Most of my favorites a lot of people don't seem to like (Camacho Coyolar for example), but the C18 Connecticut seems to appeal to everyone.

I too enjoy the conncectucut more than the maduro but the maduro is still a damn fine cigar.

If you like the Coyolar, you might want to consider taking a run at the Diploma or the Corojo Dark from Camacho. Camacho is one of my favorite brands as I seem to really enjoy the entire line.

It's a funny thing. . . I was at a bar this weekend (smoking a few cigars) and a fella at the bar asked me what cigar would I recommend. Off the top of my head I told him Cusano 18 or even Cusano Corojo. :)

My experiences with Cusano have been limited to the C18's and 1997 Corojo, I consider the paired maduro my workhorse cigar, dependable and consistent but.....

I smoked one over the weekend and it was awful, had an ashey taste from half an inch in down to about 3 inches left, I kept drawing on it and purging once in a while thinking that maybe the taste was just some bad spot in the cigar but it stayed there until I let it go out.

I will continue to buy and smoke these but that was a bad experience, I am not going to complain, out of 25 of these I have maybe smoked that was my first bad one.

I also had an odd experience this weekend with a cusano 18 paired maduro. It wasnt bad, it just didnt taste like it usually does. Still love em though!

The first hits always free....

I was gifted a Conn. Cusano 18 after hearing good things about it I smoked it soon after recieving it. I was very suprised by the unique flavor and though I enjoyed it very much. I then bought another to revisit them and enjoyed it just as much

The box is on its way now. Hows that for good buisness

Alex, I am not a huge fan of your cigar, but I am convinced that they put crack in Trilogy Camaroon Torpedos and Pryme 200's. To each their own as far as addictions

Taltos.. what a coincidence. I am adding pryme to our website right now. That is an interesting cigar. I was lucky to snag some of the 1,500 boxes they made.

The Pryme Gold is exceptional. got some from CI on some good deals. They do need to dry out quite a bit and they need to lose that ugly label in the future. Paul
