Sure thats why I have 9 full humidors, when I am in the Mood for spicy I have it, when I want mello I have it, when I want to just sit back & smoke a dog rocket , I get one off the shelf, , the reason there are so many cigars out there is to fill the need of what you want right now, , different strokes for different folks
Enjoy, Vince
Most definately, although sometimes I am not sure exactly what I am in the mood for. At these times people can usually find me standing in front of my humidor intently studying my cigars, this prompts people to ask me if there is a problem...if the dilema of choosing my next smoke is a problem, it's one I enjoy solving! When I am away from my humidor, I bring a variety of sticks, as I never know in advance which one I will want most.
I often smoke by the amount of time I have.
When at home I smoke smaller cigars more often.
When I am driving (one of my favorite times to smoke)
I'll grab a DC (Double Corona)
I drive to NY a lot (2 hour drive) it is perfect for a DC
Funny I'll be in traffic waiting for the tunnel - be into the sweet spot f a cigar and be thinking that I hope the traffic don't clear.
The guy in the car next to me will be pulling out his hair, honking his horn and screaming something or another.
Me I am all smiles!!!!!!!!!!!
As for mood - often I think of mild, medium or strong
usually I like strong, but there are times to have something with finesse. A delicate before dinner smoke and then after dinner smokes are always picked to compliment the flavor of what I ate.

This forum has certainly tripped my wire, and this art of cigar smoking sounds awesome. The intense detail you fellas put into choosing your cigars and wow, its just sweet!
I am only 19, but I plan on getting into this stuff
My uncle has his buddies come over for a cigars/cards and they seem to enjoy life
I think my friends hate 'cigar shopping' with me because I stand in the store humidor forever choosing specific cigars that I know I will be in the mood for either later that day or on a later day. It also takes me a while to choose a cigar out of my personal humidor to smoke. Heck, you're going to spend over an hour enjoying a cigar, why not take 5 or 10 minutes and properly choose one that you know for certain that you'll enjoy?
I love going to the cigar shop here...the smell of the place, the people, just looking around at all the cigars, trying to decide which ones I want to try. I don't really have certain cigars for certain moods yet...I just smoke a cigar when I'm in the mood to smoke a cigar. Doesn't matter to me. I guess I'm not sophisticated enough for all that. :|
I definately smoke cigars by the mood, or by what I am drinking. Time of day, place, and event are also considerations.
The other day, we sat outside, and had about two gallons of Good, homade Sangria four the six of us. The perfect smoke: A Drew Estate ACID 1. Why? This link http://www.drewestate.com/acid/acid_one.html should tell you all about it. When I am having a Guinness or two, I find that a heartier, Maduro is great. When the older bottles of Scotch or Irish come out, well the Fuente Hemingway Short Story(3pk for $30 Shipped to you), Torano Reserva Selecta(got them too...Robusto, and a 5pk of Torpedo's).
There is just something about opening up the humidor, and having the house smell great for those few minutes, then enjoying a seat in the sun with a drink, and a great cigar. Ah yes, Life is good!
