Does anyone keep a log, or a journal type thing and note down cigars purchased, dates, how they smoked, and prices?

I'm going to start one so I don't lose my mind trying to remember everything

I used to have a nice journal type book that was pre-printed with all kinds of info to fill in. I quickly filled up the book and tried to stay on track, but after so many cigars I lost track and finally gave up.

I'd have volumes of a journal if I would've kept up on it. The only time it's still a problem is when I grab a cigar and smoke it and don't like it. If I had smoked it before and made a record of it I might have saved myself the experience, but it's hard to complain.

I am going to pick up a small journal and a glue stick and start doing this. If I record the date and comments then have another later I can go back and add to it if I keep on band on each page.

I have a program on my home computer that you would like.
When I get home tonight I'll post it.

I use an Excel spreadsheet that is GREAT, because like Ringmaster said, I can avoid re-smoking a stick I didn't like the first time around. I also keep track of last price paid, gifts received and sent, how long in the humi, last time I smoked a specific stick, etc.

I made a spreadsheet in Excel to keep track of what I have, when I got it, how it smoked, etc. Also have a Wish List in there too. For sanity reasons, I don't keep track of the price. I just need to ask my wife for that answer.

Yes, thank you very much DD. I've already started filling it out with the limited amount of cigars I have right now!!!!

Yea i just started keeping notes of cigars. Its easier to keep track of what cigars tasted good, bad, ect.
