For the most part I stay away from cigars over 6". I had a bad experience with some mexican 8" cigars a couple years ago. At the time they were very expensive, and turned prematurely.

This past weekend I was in Ohio for an ORPA shoot at Perry, and found a Cheap Tobacco store (real name) in Fremont. I purchased a handful of the Honduran Don Jose 8 1/2" x 52 El Grandee Naturals. To my astonishment, they tasted good to the last puff.

They were cheap enough that they could be smoked everyday, and tasted good to boot.

Anyone else try them?

I also bought some Macanudos, Cusanos, Cuesta-Reys, Quorums, Te Amo's, and a couple Cohiba XV's. All in all I spent close to three hundred bucks on cigars.

i haven't tried them, but i can tell you the cusanos are good if you haven't had one yet.

Don Jose is actually made by JC Newman so chances are you are sitting on a bundle made or contracted by the Fuentes. It is a good bundle cigar. I personally still prefer the olivas.
