I don't have a lot of experience with these -
If people don't know they are usually rolled wet and then dried in an oven.
Someone gave me a box of them a year or more ago.

"Wilde Havana" La Paz - Tabacos Primeros
Well to be honest they were unsmokable - I am not sure why I did
throw them out - but I didn't
well I found them today & light one - Pretty Good!
Very one dimensional but a nice flavor.
Totally surprised me -
maybe it is the fact that they are not dry any more?
Or the 12-20 months of resting?

Wondering if any of you have tried this type of smoke?

Damn man - just saw that we live really close!
I'm 30 minutes away - Hell you should stop by and try something better than a Dutch cigar :D

One of my customers works for Universal Leaf Company and travels the world brokering tobacco deals. He has brought me back a box of small cigars from Denmark called Flora Danika. They are dryer than the cigars we are used to. Short filler but actually very tasty. A distinctive somewhat strong flavor that I enjoy on occasion.

Craziest thing. CC, I'm going to take you up on that. It's a small world. Can I get a little Northeastern PA Pride?

Yeah Baby!
I Love living in PA - I been in every state & the Poconos are A+
Check your PM's and shoot me a phone number.

Bob,
Really looking forward to sharing a smoke!
one thing about PA is there aren't a lot of people I know to share smokes with. Do You fish by any chance?
The Monster Brown trout are coming out of the lake -
a few are living in the back yard right now!
Monsters 5-15 pounds! The one out there right now
is about 7+ pounds!

Sent...Yea, we're getting some casino's soon! Movin on up

Yeah - from what I have heard only slot machines at this point -
but that is the foot threw the door the rest is coming.
I want the Casinos I think it will create jobs and
push the property values up!
I'm planning on selling my home to one of the Casino owners
or something like that!
Not everyone need a Castle - but some people do

But where will you go after that? As for me, I love the fact that when the boom started here, about a year or two before I moved in, property values tripled in six or seven years, but now the thundering herd is coming. Some are already here. I figured I'd get 15-17 years here when I came, and it's "officially" been just over five, but I really took over nearly six years ago. Okay, so I'm looking at 8-10 more years before I take a look around and want to vomit, and even if "the housing bubble" bursts, by then this place will STILL be worth way more than what I paid, and whatever I put/will put into it.

But I DIDN'T WANT TO MOVE INTO THE NEW "IT" PLACE TO BE!!! I wanted wide open spaces, semi-rural, but it's turning into just another "suburbia," although because of the local uproar about "the invasion" it's being done really smart, with a lot of environmental concern and larger plots, some wide open spaces left.

But it's inevitable, with more and more people getting out of farming in America, when farms go, people move in and destroy land. I don't call it "progress and development," I call it destruction, or as John Denver said, "more people, more scars upon the land."

I want to go to a place that's so cold in the winter that no one wants to live there, or move there, so there won't be any Starbucks, Applebee's, McDonald's, etc., for a LOONNNNGGGGG TIME TO COME!!!

Sorry to hijack and rant, but CC, Bobberrific, anyone out there have any suggestions about where a man who will turn 58 years old in 2014, and looking to be out of here by then could move to? Keep in mind, I like to be away from 99.9% of the rest of the human race 99.9% of the time. I'd be looking to purchase a small farm, with a lot of woods surrounding it. I don't want any casinos, the aforementioned joints, malls, or anything around me, except a small "Mayberry"-like town 10-15 miles away, and another farm family maybe "down the road a piece," here and there.

Any vision, knowledge, suggestions? I'm getting so sick of this invasion. What are we going to do, pave the entire world and put office buildings, malls, houses, condos, etc., everywhere?

There's plenty of places like that here in TN. That is of course if you don't mind you neighbor "down the road a piece" being named Cledus.

bloof i have the perfect place for you, its called South Carolina. Even where i live, which is populated, it takes an hour to get anywhere (and not from traffic). If you lived in rural SC you can pretty much assure yourself that nobody will come bother you ever. There are parts of SC that won't see development for 100 years if ever! I might come visit you for a smoke, but wait... i did just think of a good reason not to move here. You do run the risk having a possible visit from TT, i change my stance.. do this... :bolt:

There are alot of pretty nice places to live in SC. I lived in Charleston for about a year and a half. Not a bad place. Not too hard to find privacy.

No, I want COLD, like 6 a.m. lows in the winter of about 40-50 below. Here in Fishkill, I've seen as low as 18 below, with zero to minus ten happening just about every winter since I've been here on a bunch of days, but I'm looking COLDER, foreboding, where tourists and developers freeze solid in the winter. Thanks though, I already have considered Tennessee and S.C. I sure as heck don't mind my neighbors being named Cletus or Billy Joe, or Sara Jean or Ellie May.

hmm we go fishing up in canada and you can only get there by float plane. that would be a perfect place for you bloof. Its cold and trust me, nobody is anywhere near you.

I know. A friend of mine has property on Grand Manan Island, and is looking to acquire in some other Northeastern Canadian area, although I forget the name of the place now. I'm thinking Canada also, because this ain't even the country I grew up in any more. I'm not sure, I'd like to stay here, like maybe Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, The Dakotas, Minnesota, Wyoming, but what was semi-rural suburbia when I moved up here, and really still is, will be just another segment in the megalopolis in another decade, and I can't deal with that.

Yes, I was thinking of further upstate New York. There are still very remote areas up there, but how long before casinos and the flight from the city catches up? I hear there will be a "bullet train" to the Albany area in a few years, so instead of taking well over an hour to get to the stop I get off at now (New Hamburg), the train will go double the distance in less time. And THAT will bring the invasion to even remote areas of wayyyy upstate New York.

Bloof, if I was gay I'd offer to marry you. This is EXACTLY how I feel about being around this so called "civilization". I'd like to live in my house and be able to look out and see NOTHING but nature no matter which way I turned and to know that it wouldn't change for a long, long time.

Unfortunately, you, like myself, are screwed. There is no place to go short of taking up residence in Yellowstone park (which may not be so bad of an idea if you don't get caught). Actually, you may have a better chance in another country. A lot of them haven't gotten to the point where we are and still have plenty of open land.

And there is your answer. Get the **** out of Dodge, so to speak.

Misa wants to have a place in Spain (Myorca -sp?)
I want to own the family farm in the Czech Rep. (talking snow!)

My rock star friends wanted to be close enough to NY to drive in - but far enough that people couldn't find them.

They moved to Mifflinburg PA - all their neighbors are Menanits (sp)
No Phone - No Cars - Just horses & horse $hit!

Really nice out there!

I never understand this. Why bother using a dollar sign when it is almost the same thing. It is basically un-censored anyways. Might as well just type the 'S' :D

Because I or someone else would have to step in and change it, like I did with a word the other night that someone used to describe a cheap camera. Management wants the language to stay as clean as possible around here, but also will overlook things like dollar signs in the interest of not being seen as too prudish. By the way, thanks for your affirmations, and to everyone for their suggestions and ears.

You want the Czech Republic - with the exchange rate a few US dollars goes a long way.

My Inlaws were here in June/July they called home (the end of June)
& it was snowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not unheard of of to have 6-7 feet of snow at any given time!

I started as a way to get around filters that are on some boards.
Now it is basic PC for internet boards -
I don't even think about it any more
just post that way - This place I am more careful as they have access
for younger kids - I kind of flinch from even doing that.

Most cigar boards are 18 and over this place is a little different.
