Just smoked the edicion de silvio maduro that is slated for release later this year. Wanted to share the tasting notes.

Construction Appearance: 15/15

Oily maduro wrapper with no flaws. Prelight aroma was ceder and bark.

Smoking Characteristics: 24/25

Moderate draw and a very slow fairly even burn. Thick dark solid ash.

Body and Flavor: 22/25

Medium bodied maduro. Very well balanced aromas: earthy wood with a meaty finish. The flavor was very understated. It had great runway speed but never really got off the ground.

Overall: 28/35 (good)

If this cigar was being rated on looks and construction alone it would have easily scored into the 90's Have not had a better constructed cigar in some time. I could feel the table shake when I knoced the ash off. You would have to try to get this cigar to burn badly. Once lit it was like it was on auto pilot. When I scored the natural some time ago it finished in the mid 80's. This maduro was great. Not sure on the tobacco's used as perdomo keeps the secret recipe on these things in a vault somewhere but it was a very pleasant smoke.

Final Rating 89/100
