Lost in translation
Any one who is a red sox fan knows who Luis Tiant is, but did you know that he has his own line of cigars. I am friendly with his son Dan and he gave me a sample to try. The cigar is the El Tiante and the line is a nicaraguan puro with a maduro wrapper. Nice construction and they are smooth. I know that his son is trying to get this line dsitributed better and he currently has 12 reps working for him. I was just curious to see if anyone has seen these cigars and where they have seen them. Thanks

Tried 2 of them. There is a Natural and Maduro Line. The Maduro is actually a complex stick made up of a Nicaraguan wrapper, Sumatra binder and Mexican Dominican and Nicaraguan Fillers. The Natural is a spicey Sumatra wrapper with mixed Nicaraguan fillers. Both have great construction and burn evenly the whole way through. It's top notch quality. I have seen them for sale at Watch city in Framingham MA and Victory Cigar in Sudbury MA. They are just starting to hit the market.

Thanks for the response and welcome to the board Champ. Its always good to have another Masshole around here.

Phish, maybe we could do a box split on these, I would be up for a 5 pack!

Give me a chance to talk with Dan and I will see how much I can get a box for. I have to rein in my cigar spending. I'm still paying for Christmas and the wife is not happy when I buy cigars and still have CC debt. She also used to date Dan in high scholl and is just starting to like him again after years of hating him.

no pressuer, Phish. Whenever you decide you can do it is just fine with me. I need to hold off on spending a little also, I have spent way more than I planned to in January for sure.
