well it is my first time on cigar.com and any forum
forum for that matter but for good reason. ive recently took up cigars as a hobby and found my favorite. it is a. fuente cha. fuente nat. i went though a box and bought another. i dont live near a shop so i had to order them online. the site i normally use is well known and has been very good to me. but i was atracted by a lower price tag on a different site. when i got them they seemed off the bands were not detailed and not as shiney. the back of the box was missing the inspection date and a few other things didnt seem right. i was hopeing thatsomeone knew about cigars or had pics that i might be able to compare to. i havent sent them a letter yet because if they are fake i want to be sure. this is a last ditch effort before i just order another box t compare. anyone?

I can't help with your present situation, but I can tell you that I have placed numerious orders from cigar.com and have never been disappointed. Join the Cigar of the Month and then you get a 10% discount on orders. When you compare the total cost including shipping, they are going to be in the ballpark every time. I ordered some Padrom 1926 from another site because they were a little less expensive, but the sticks were not as good as the ones from C.com.

And if you do have a problem with C.com the V.P. of sales is just a post away and responds when there is an issue.

If you can take a couple pictures of the box, bands, and the actuall cigar, Im sure someone here will be able to assist you.

That cigar is not typically counterfit. When people go to the trouble to counterfit, it is usually cubans, opus X, padron anni,. Actaully, rumor has it that someone may have counterfited cusano 18 so I guess anything is possible this day in age.

First place you want to look on this one is the band. Dont worry about the gloss factory and focus more on the embossing. That band should be raised in a few areas. If it is a bad counterfeit job, it will not be embossed. You also mentioned a box. These are very hard to fake becuase those boxes are really only produced in holland and you have to make runs of thousands of boxes.

Did the cigars come wrapped in cedar? They should have. Did the box look opened already when you recieved it? It should not be.

How much did you pay? Usually based on that I can definately tell you if you got fakes. Usually people buy them for unbelievable prices.

Post a pic of the band and I can tell you more then likely for sure. Remember that there can be variances in the blend at times depending on the year of production, and box date. Particularly with cigars as in demand as fuentes.
