I posted this topic on another cigar forum and was surprised to see the results. Some people actually smoke 2+ robusto or larger cigars per day. Nice. Figured I would try out the same poll here too. I fall into the 1 per week category since I find it adds to the enjoyment via anticipation.

usually 3 or 4 at least a day as i work in my own business i get to set the rules. lol good to be the boss :D :D
 
I am new to all this, so I can hardly contain my excitement to try my next cigar, that being said, I will probably taper off to about three a week, as I settle on a few that I like best.

Wowza.. your not nervous about the dreaded "C" word with all that tobacco? Not that I am a saint... for a while there I was up to about 1 churchhill every day.
 
I generally smoke two or three a day. I'm about to fire up my second of the day here in a few minutes.
 
I wish I had more time to smoke. I can usually only fit one in a week.

Since I am in the cigar busness & get a good price on my smokes I smoke between 3 & 5 a day on the average day, my all time best was up about 10 for the day, but I dont do that to often, we have a cigar crawl every May ( third Saturday ) about 30 guys on a bus starting at 8 am getting back about midnight , that do I do 10 , a lit cigar with lunch & supper , take a puff, & take a bite , it is a fun day, check out our web site http://www.cigarcrawl.com , it is open to all, just get your deposit in, if we fill up the bus, we will charter a second one ! , smoking on the bus is a must, there is a bathroom on the bus, & all the beer & soda is included, as well as lunch & supper, all in high class places, cant beat the deal & I will be serving my home made brandy , but I am not allowed to make any more so this batch is the end ! hahaha !
I have been smoking since 1955 I have been smoking this way ( 3 to 5 a day ) for over 20 years . a Don Carlos III in the morning & they just get bigger as the day goes on !.

just keep up what your doing sooner or later you will get where I am now, Old , worn out & full of useless info , bad eyes , bad back , an over developed set of taste buds & grandchildren to spoil ! it has been a FUN RIDE
as a good friend told me, dont die with with money in the bank wishing you had done something you never got arround to, I will slide in the grave side ways all worn out with a bottle of scotch, a big cigar & yelling at the top of my voice, WOW What a ride ! hahaha

I put three to five for a lack of a better number. When I smoke, 99% of the time its at work and I work 4 nights a week. On those nights I smoke 1-2 and occasionally 3 if I work late. So the number is probably closer 7 or 8 a week.

So you know, according to the CREDIBLE studies done, cancer rates are much much lower for cigar and pipe smokers. The only really marked risk over non-tobacco users is that of mouth cancers and even that is not that significant.
 
I only smoke my one a week sometimes i might have one or two more for the rare occasion...great weather great BBQ or celebrating something. Quag where did you get this research do you have a link?

Before starting at the culinary academy I would usually smoke 4 to 5 per day. With how busy I am now I'm lucky to get 1 in each day.
But I make for it on the weekends :wink:
