OOPS, SORRY!!!!

I didn't mean to say the word "fighting" on this web site. :neer:

This six year old, 103 proof spirit is a very interesting rendition of My Olde Kentuckie Hohme. :dunno: Since I found my spirit in bourbon, it's my home. :duh:

Fighting Cock bourbon has a bold flavor, hitting the mouth with distinctive oak, maple syrup and apple notes, with a bit of grainy flavor, perhaps some extra rye in the mash bill? I was amazed at how sip after sip, I kept tasting syrupy apple flavors, very heavy on the apple. It's almost as if it were flavored that way, but it couldn't be, because then it couldn't be called bourbon.

Definitely recommended, a very good belly warming type of bourbon, and despite it's youth, an intriguing, somewhat complex, if telltale flavor profile. Many thanks to the Colonel, and from what I've seen, it's a great bang for the buck bourbon.

I liked this better than Jim Beam Black, although it will take a couple more tastings of each to find out if they place in my Top 25 and how high.

I'm glad to see the package arrived safely. Also glad to read your first impressions of this fine libation. I'm curious as to whether this distillery has other offerings. I shall look into it, and post accordingly...
