I just bought a Samsung 40 inch LCD for my living room but I have a question. I want to mount it in the corner. I mean right in the corner. Nobody sells a mount for this. Any body have any ideas for this? I want o put a shelf up as well for all the other stuff. My idea was to cut a 2x or 4x at 45's so it will fit in the corner and then run two lag bolts through it into the corner. and mount the TV to that. any reason that wont work? any other ideas?

My mother wanted hers in the corner as well I searched high and low with no luck. I bought a adjustable arm mount put in on the flat part of the corner and adjusted the arm. You can not see the mount at all. I would tell you the brand but I have no idea what it was. Hers is 36 inch and the mount said it would hold up to a 50 inch.

Don't have anyplace in particular but I searched the internet for a floor stand for my old forty-something inch that was only made to mount on a wall and found one. I do think I remember seeing some corner wall mounts when I was doing that. Warning, they are not cheap.

I have seen the corner wall mounts before. I don't watch that much TV, so didn't pay much attention to them (I only have a 20" CRT TV). At work, we have several ceiling mounts that hang from the ceiling in the corners and hold big heavy crt TVs. One of those would most like work well for a flat screen also. I have also seen a TV stand that is made to go in the corner. It was at Walmart, so was cheaply made out of particle board. If they still carry something like that, it would make a good pattern for a good stand.

Thanks for the replies, For now till I either find what I want or make one I just got a cheap little stand that fits nicely into the corner. I love it for sure, my wife's first comment was it is a little small. WTF. we did have a 60 inch rear projection that in our house we could not sit far enough away from to actually see. So I feel this one is a major upgrade. Oh well. I guess it gives her something to be mad about. I asked if she wanted me to take it back and get another one and she said no.

Chris I love my 40'' LCD!!! You would need to to run two 2x4's with one vertical between them. The mount I used has three lag bolts vertically that go into the same stud. So It would work.
