Ever since the BY Pass about 2 sips of beer is all I can do, the carbonation just bloats me , so now I just stick with the single malt & let the winds of the sea take me where ever thay want to go, like a sail boat with out a rudder I am just along for the ride ! Enjoy, Vince

Oh gee, poor Vince is stuck with the single malts!!! And if you know Vince, you know it's only the BEST single malts. By the way, any suggestions for a friend's birthday present? I don't have time to order from a web site, so I'll have to go to a liquor store, and I'm looking to spend $100 or more.

Glennlivit 18 is about 60 bucks ,Glenmorangie 18 is about 85 bucks a bottle , 21 year old Dalmore is about 70 a bottle BUT the 25 Year old Macallen is over 250 a bottle But my pick for a Birthday gift would be the 16 year old Lagavulin at 52 bucks a bottle, if you want to spend over 100 Get 2 !!! hahaha, Enjoy, Vince

Thanks for the tips. I was thinking the Macallan 25, but I didn't know it costs that much.

There is a bottle that looks like a still, it is from Delmore I think called the Stillmans Dram, a wonderful looking package, I have no idea on the cost, but a local fine dining place has it for 30 bucks a shot! Enjoy, Vince

Dalmore 30 year old Stillman's Dram. I actually had my eye on a bottle of that as gift material as far back as two years ago. I couldn't afford it at the time, but am still seeing nice prices can be had on it, so maybe some day. That would be perfect for this guy.

You have a lot of time ! MY birthday isnt till May ! hahahaha Enjoy, Vince

Good to know I will be on the look out for one, as long as I can get the plastic money from my wife !! Enjoy, Vince

Wound up buying a bottle of Glenrothes 1974, distilled 5/22/74, bottled 1/17/03 for a "walk out price" of $103.19, ($94.99 plus tax). I went into Beekman's Liquors and met a nice lady, not the same nice lady I met a few months ago, although she was also there. Told her my dilemma, she recommended a couple, then positively cooed over the Glenrothes 1974. It was only a little more, and I was certainly willing to spend it on this guy. Hope he likes it. He was definitely bowled over.

Glad to hear all worked out, I havent had a taste yet today, Election day, I will when I get home & have a victory cigar with a single malt, No matter who wins, it will be a consolation cigar or a victory cigar no matter , a cigar is a CIGAR............. Enjoy, Vince
