Does anyone know the retail of this cigar? Cigar.com sells it for $79.95. I got mine for $29 at a local shop. I'm wondering if they screwed up and undercharged me. They are an authorized dealer though. I'm assuming that's why it was so much cheaper.

Go and buy them out --- Immediately!!!

  :? Lucky you.....

That's a great price....

Sounds like I got a good deal! I wonder why they gave it to me so cheap. Sadly, it was the last one they had, and the lady had a real hard time getting the coffin out of the box. It was wedged in there pretty good. I should have asked her for the big box since it was the last one. Oh well.

Now I'm wondering if I should actually sell it or smoke it! Nah, I bought it, I'm smokin' it. Let it sit for a month or two first, though.

Temptation would definately get the better of me. I'd smoke it. I think I'd save it for a special occasion though. Hmm... seems like a good b-day smoke perhaps.

That could be a good use for it too. I was thinking about smoking this Drew Estate Naturals Egg during the game. It's supposed to last a couple hours. And yes, I bought it because of the shape. I'll take a couple of backup sticks along as well. I'm not sure if I want to take it to a bar though. It'd probably attract a fair amount of attention, and I haven't decided if I like that idea or not. It could be too much of a distraction when I'm trying to watch the game. At least with the Opus only a cigar smoker is going to know what it is, and you can always just take the ring off. With the Egg there's just no hiding.

I really should get one of those Las Formas Bambinos for the Cubs home opener next spring. Nothing like a baseball bat cigar to mark the start of baseball season :)

I was thinking about smoking it during the Super Bowl, but the wife found out how much I could sell it for and doesn't want me to smoke it now.

I called the place I bought them from, "Heroes & Legacies", here in Austin. They just got six more in. I told the wife to go buy a couple more. She'll probably try to make me sell them, but I think I'll hold on to them for a while.

Too complicated. We don't know the last names of everyone. How about reverse alphabetically by handle? Start with z...

No. Better yet, how about we create a giant OPUS X cigar wheel with everyone's avatar on it. Then, hire Bob Barker. Next, we all spin said wheel and. . .

.....give to the old guy from Jersey!

Guys Guys Guys (and lady) ... you should compromise and just start in the middle. With "M" for example.

Nice way to compromise Macallan! You know, you always have a way of making things work out  8)

Since you're such a nice guy, I think you should send each and every one of us a stick, and we'll forego the forum hazing of new posters such as yourself.

I shoulda known what I was gettin' myself into :p .

I wish I could give you guys one, but alas, that 1 cigar was my entire monthly cigar budget and sits in the humidor along with the other 4 cigars I currently have (3 rocky patel edge and 1 macanudo robust). I've got a bunch of tiny cigars, but don't count those. I'm getting a bonus next week though, but I'll probably spend it on a box of Diplomas.

I've seen a lot of shops that carry OpusX that get As occasionally and the price is typically around $30. I've also seen them in some shops for much more, but that's typically because they aren't official Opus dealers. They buy them from shops that get them official and sell them for a profit since they know they have customers who will pay a premium for them.

I have a few...my last Opus. I belive I will be smoking one of them sometime in the near future with another member of this forum. Hopefully they will live up to the hype.

Yep, I agree. I've seen a shop selling a particular Opus for $120 (tourist area) where another shop sold the exact same Opus for $30.
