Actually, although I'm not sitting here promoting ANY cigar, from what I've heard, that's a pretty good price. This is one of those highly touted, extremely rare cigars, after all, they're using the term GOD OF FIRE here, so literally, expect to be told that you're one of the lucky few in the world who can own 10 robusto sized cigars which only a few mere MORTALS can ever have the PRIVILEGE of laying their eyes on. It's just business man, as the advertising game folks like to say.
As for whether or not you'll consider it worth your time and money finding out, after smoking two or three you'll actually be able to tell. But you have to be able, and willing to go that far to invest R&D money. In days gone by, when I was doing better, I was willing to go to the level of $145 for a bottle of Distiller's Masterpiece I - Cognac Finish, a ONCE IN A LIFETIME bourbon experience.
I used to consider it a benchmark to say that I was willing to spend $75-80 on "R&D" to see if the latest Mah Deer Olde Pappeh's Finest Kentuckeh Buhbun, Vereh, Vereh Olde, Jus' Lahk Mah Pappeh was any good. Now, having tried 59 bourbons, and being in much harder times, I can only extend $50-60 for R&D and am extremely miffed when $55 gets me the latest in diesel fuel, or smooth, flavorless bourbon.
It's what's up with you as much as what's up with Carlito, his advertising department, and what's really in the cigar. That's how a market is either created, or a product becomes a flop or marginal. The chance you take is that if people DON'T think the cigar sucks, you'll never have the chance to get it if you don't ACT NOW, C'MON DOWN, GET 'EM WHILE THEY'RE HOT, DON'T MISS THIS BARGAIN, ONCE IN A LIFETIME, NEVER BEFORE, WILL NEVER BE PRODUCED AGAIN CIGAR, ONLY FIVE MADE!!!
It's up to you.
