GOF - Are they worth it?

To those of you that have smoked GOF I pose this question? Are they worth 30/stick? They have just released the churchill sizes, and I am debating whether or not to buy box. Just wanted to hear from you guys that have tried them.

I bought one of them at Christmas and I am saving it for my birthday. I do not know if it would be worth it too buy a box, they are quite expensive, but I am thinking that one or two would not be out of line - they are quite expensive that is for sure.


Just my 1.89 cents worth.

If you are a Fuente and Opus fan they are a must try......
The price is somnething else though....

Just buy it.

If you decide you don't like it, send the box and remaining UNSMOKED sticks to me. I'll be sure to take good care of them.

As a buyer of several boxes that have went out through splits I would say having one or two on hand if only as collectors items is worth it. Maybe we could put together a split if anyone is interested.

i loved it, but there ain't no cigar worth $30.00 but you wont know till you try one. The first cigar of 2006 was a gof and if i live, the last cigar of 2006 will be a gof. wonder how much it will change in a year. problem is, i cant really remember how the first one was :shock: :wine: :cheerschug: you get the idea

I paid twice that for a Fuente (952R) kind of rare.
It still is one of the best cigars I have ever smoked!
Can the GOF be 1/2 that good - maybe?

CC, I have one of those Fuente's you speak of, gifted to me by Carlito. I don't know when I'll ever smoke it or what occassion I will smoke it on....

I'm sure the urge will hit sometime....

I personally like the regular opus better than the GOF's...but that is just me, but you'll probably end up paying the same anount for it anyway So I'd give at least one a shot

The 952R is the best cigar from the limited forbidden humidor -
IMHO
7 blended tobaccos - really a great smoke -
Smoke it on a slow day with nothing else to do
I would do nothing else except drink water & kick back with the cigar
it changed flavor so many times - orange to black cherrys - coffee with chocolate latte then hints of different flavors.
Really something special!
