I've posted a few times since yesterday and just wanted to share a bit about myself.

I've been a cigar smoker for about 4 years now and thank my boss for turning me onto such a great past time.

Currently I reside in Salt Lake City, UT with my wife and children. I work for a large security company as an operations manager for the Salt Lake City market. I am also in the Air National Guard an upon my return from NCO Academy at the end of September, I'll be moving my family to Boise Idaho to manage that market.

I usually smoke about 3-4 cigars a week, the 4th of July this year was a GREAT day for me. It was the day my wife smoked her first cigar with me. Since then my cigar smoking has not only doubled but improved because, there is nothing finer than having a nice smoke on the patio after dinner with a scotch and your best friend.

Now that you all know a bit about me, I just want to say I look forward to the fine conversations and cigar recommendations that we all can share with each other.

Johnny, welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll find everyone here to be very friendly, helpful and informative.

Welcome!

I am also new here and have been very impressed with the knowledge and mostly by the kindness of the peeps here.

I have made several attempts to get my wife interested in my newish hobby. The unfortunate things is she is a on and off again Cigarette smoker and can not avoid inhaling. So I am a bit jealous. I have always invisioned a nice summer evening with a fine wine and cigar with my best friend.

One of the nicest things that have come about since I started this "hobby" is that my wife now joins me every evening when I go out on the deck to enjoy a cigar with a glass of wine or a martini. She doesn't smoke, but she plans her evening schedule around my cigar time so that we can spend a good 45-90 minutes together talking about anything and everything. She's more disappointed than me on the evenings where I can't get out to smoke! Absolutely awesome!

Welcome to the forum John! These are a great bunch of people, some I consider great friends!

Thank you all.

I look forward to enjoying all your company and sharing ideas and experiences.
