Have you ever

...sat on the secluded beach of a relatively deserted tropical island at night listening to the gentle surf roll to shore as you enjoy the deep, rich, exotic smoke of a CAO Red (anniversary edition), then, as you exhale, watch it slowly drift upward observing its thick, white swirls reaching toward the brightly illuminated moon and glistening stars above? Then you realize that a small sip of the 18 year old Scotch waiting patiently in the clear glass beside you would complete the perfect union as Bob Marley presides in the background...

Just wondering.

I'll be doing that very same thing on May 6th when I'm lying on the beach of the North Shore in Hawaii.

Have you ever sat for 9 hours a day staring at a computer screen and sitting in meetings with the sole purpose of finding new ways of sitting and staring at computer screens? No? Well Ha! I do that every day! Who doesn't want to be me now!!!

Have you ever....

Been so drunk you woke up in another state in someone's house you didn't know, then eat breakfast with them?

Not yet but I'm gonna do it in April. My wife and I are celebrating 25 years of marriage and going to Maui. I'm gonna print that and follow it exactly  I'm gonna sub the scotch though, maybe with a Primo.

My brother did that on his 21st birthday - we went to NYC and then, on the train ride back to Jersey, he got off in Newark instead of staying on the train and then a nice couple noticed he was just laying on the steps of the station and, instead of letting the cops arrest him (which they were just about to do) they took them back to their place in Red Bank - long cab ride. Then they washed his clothes and fed him breakfast in the morning. I had to go pick him up the next morning and found out it was the couple's parents house! Heh - that was one messed up night. The story is even longer than that, but hey, can't give all the story away at once!

Funny a friend came over yesterday & saw me smoking a Monte #5
he reflected on sitting on a tropical beach & smoking a M#5.
Said he couldn't wait to do it again!

Welcome to my world. Wait, I'll be back shortly. I have another conference call with our Kilkenney Ireland office. We are going to discus which color stickies they should use for notes on trade tickets. :throwrock:

My next vacation will consist of going to someones wedding who I have only met two times and didn't really talk to too much. At least I'll be on Cape Cod and won't have the kids with me. Now all I have to do is convince the wife that I don't need to dance all night and need some fresh air (and enjoy a big cigar).

I am in the same boat as you guys. Phis, try dealing with the Dutch.

My vacation will actually be here in Seattle the Artist Blacksmiths of North America convention will be here for 5 days. I do long for a tropical island tho.

I have to wait untill August - and then it will be sitting on the deck of our cabin at Waskesieu smoking a nice cigar after supper.

But....summer is coming, and the backyard does beckon...we have to find our paradise wherever we can, and sometimes it is in our own back yard.
