Infusion, Helix’s New Name in Flavored Cigars

New York, NY— Helix® Infusion™ is set to make a dynamic mark on the exciting world of flavored cigars. The four-cigar collection which is subtly steeped in the almond flavor of amaretto liqueur will debut at retail in December.

Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, Helix Infusion cigars are wrapped in a supple Connecticut Shade wrapper, filled with Dominican Olor and Piloto Cubano tobacco and bound with Indonesian leaf before undergoing a proprietary process of infusion with amaretto flavor. The result is a mild cigar with pleasant undertones of almond.

According to Jermaine Gurvin, brand manager for Helix Infusion cigars, “Thanks to its accessible taste and hip, urban look, Helix has firmly established itself as a ‘go to’ brand for 25-35 year old consumers. It’s these consumers who are reaching for all things flavored, as evidenced by the popularity of flavored vodkas and beers. When we evaluated the Helix brand, we recognized that developing a mild-tasting, affordably-priced flavored cigar would be a surefire success among our core consumers, and that’s what we’re expecting.”

The quartet of frontmarks consists of: Petite Corona, Corona, Robusto, and Esplendidos. Petite Corona, a 5” x 38 cigar, will be available for a suggested retail price of $2.70 per cigar, or $67.50 for a box of 25 cigars. The Corona size measures 5 ¼” x 44, will sell for $3.00 per cigar, or $75 for a 25-count box. Robusto is a 5 ½” x 50 cigar that will be available for $3.40 per cigar, or $85.00 for a box of 25 cigars. Packed in tins containing 10 cigars, Esplendidos will sell at retail for $11.00 per tin, or $55.00 for a box of five tins.

Helix Infusion continues the base brand’s non-traditional approach to packaging. The cigars will be housed in an unconventional metallic copper-colored box, accented by Helix’s signature swirl “H.”

I've never tried any of the flavored cigars, but I've heard mostly mixed reviews with a lean towards the negative. Does anyone here have any experience with them?

So I guess they're still going to go with cardboard flavored.

 That is some funny S%#t

You will pobably be able to buy these at 711 right along with the original Helix

Bobberrific:

That was one of the funniest lines ... "cardboard flavored".....

I actually had one today on the recommendation of someone. Geez - cardboard was right on the money. First time he's given me some bad advice - but everybody is entitled.

Blecch... luckily I had a Cusano 18 to get some flavor again.
