Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and haven't had a chance to read any of the posts or other information. My name is Don Sharpe and I'm from the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. Recently became an cigar smoker (introduced by a good friend).

The login name I use was given to me both by my trainer and my wife (they were joking around one night at the gym). I'm a trainer at a fitness center and have changed my entire lifestyle, healthier (excluding any unknown lurking problems) than I've ever been in my life.

My absolute favorite cigars are the Montecristos, but I've had some other really excellent cigars since being introduced about 3 months ago, AND as everyone else, I'm on the lookout for good cigars.

Cigars are best when enjoyed with friends.

Please provide any good info, suggestions, or just plain good chat!

Don

As an ex-bodybuilder from way back, who never made it due to the cumulative effects of a May 7, 1978 car accident, am I detecting a familiar name, that of an 80's or 90's titleholder, perhaps? At any rate, welcome to the fun of our forums. :wine:

Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome cowboy! What's the best smoke you like for out on the range?

No, I'm not a "Pro-Bodybuilder", but I've got my body fat down to 9% and doing whatever my trainer suggests. She suggested competition, and I said "what the hey, why not". My trainer is one of two good friends who got me smoking cigars! Thanks Misa & Loren!

Ah Chaaaaaaaaa!!! That's Jewish for "Ah, haaaaaaaa.!!!" :cryinlaugh: You come from Castle Crest. Well, I certainly wish you well in your physical endeavors, and any friend of CC's is surely a friend of mine and very welcome on the forums here.

Donald,
About time you found your way in here!
Mr Big & his wife are good friends.
Right in the middle of something I'll check back later!

Mr. Big, (Don) welcome. It just so happens thats my labs name too. Too funny!! Hope you enjoy yourself here.

Welcome Mr Big,
I, too, am new to this. I've been on this forum for a couple of months now and I can't tell you how much I have learned from these guys.
They know their stuff and are more than happy to help you out.

Without hesitation, they selflessly pitched in to help me out to send cigars to my buddy in Iraq.

I can't say enough about this forum or the people in it.

Again, welcome and happy learning!

-Jeff

By the way, you Poke-In-Nose folks, my mother took me and my sister when I was 13 1/2 to a little vacation at a place called The Double W near Lake Wallenpaupak 35 years ago. Ever hear of it?

Bloof the "double W" is not to far from here.
anyway I can walk to the lake from my house - it's a damn good walk!
I'd say 5 miles or so.

DOUBLE 'W' BED & BREAKFAST

Near Lake Wallenpaupack
in the Pocono Mountains.

The Double "W" lies between Hawley and Honesdale if anyone is interested. Takes its name from the last name of the owners "Waller". My wife knew that one, she's actually a native of the area.

welcome to amback! CC is a good mentor to have if your getting into cigars, your lucky to start off with him.

Welcome to the forum from one of the guys down south, Mr. Big. Lots of good people, good info, and good fun on here.

Welcome Don. I've been on here a few months myself now and have tried just about everything thanks to these guys and my wallet's usually pretty slim too thanks to these guys. I've learned more in here than I ever could have on my own. This is THE best forum to frequent as many can attest to. Its a family here and its good to have ya in it.
