Greetings from TQ!
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have arrived and that I'm safe.
The first week was kind of crazy! Had to stay in Kuwait for the first 2 days due to a sandstorm near where I am now. Air traffic was shut down until it passed. Very boring just waiting. Ran in to an old friend from boot camp though. Small world.
Once I got here, it has been INSANELY busy and continues to be.
I'm just lucky that our internet is running. It seems to go down 2-3 times a week for a couple of days at a time. So I don't think that I'll be posting as much as I would like.
They've already got me training Marines in hand to hand quick kills and setting up patrols. Not that they'll let me leave the base for anything cool like that! They're just using my experience to train people. Oh well, it's better than sitting on my a$$ all day, right?
I've read some of the other posts concerning me, X-Mas pkgs for my family and stuff for me and my fellow Marines......
What can I say about that?........I'm speechless.
Thank you VERY much for your support and generosity. It's not necessary, though.
I have to run. I'll post some pics as soon as I get some.
