Hey everyone!

How are the holidays so far? Can't really complain here. Except for the weather. It's just a "bit" cold here!

I have some news.....

Looks like I'll be coming home sooner than expected.

I've been having problems with my foot since I got out here and now the doctors have recommended that I have ANOTHER surgery to remove the screw that's in my foot. No date is set yet for my return but it looks like late Jan.
Don't get too excited, though....I'll be right back here 2-3 weeks after my surgery!
At least I'll be home for a little while.

So, how's everyone doing?

VERY, VERY good to see you, Sgt. DevilDog, SIR!!! I'm glad to hear you're coming back, but not about the circumstances. Hang tough. I know you will. Personally, I won't say much about my own stuff. Everyone here has pretty much seen my shpiel here and there, maybe you have too, but this world isn't about me. People like you are much more important. I've been thinking about you a lot, and here's to a successful operation and a wonderful holiday season for you and your loved ones.

I always knew you had a screw loose - glad to see they'll be removing that now.

Glad things are going well for you. My wife and I are going very well - thanks in part to men like you - so we'll toss back a cold one and toast to your speedy and safe return!

DD! Bummer about your foot. They should bring you home NOW! Milk it for all it's worth. tee-hee.

I didn't think to ask but, can you use some phone cards? I know phone calls are really expensive over there.

Good to see you're OK Jeff. Glad to hear you're coming home, for however short a time. Good luck on the surgery, and most importantly, STAY SAFE!

Glad to hear from you Jeff. I am surprized they are not giving you more heal time then 2-3 weeks. Get well and I am glad you are at least coming home for a bit.

I have a DSN line that can call out. No need for phone cards. My small way of getting a little payback!

From what I understand, it's a relatively simple surgery. Small incision and remove the screw! Shouldn't take too long to heal.
