Central Canada, eh?
Okay its my turn now.

My birthday is June 27. Two things happend on that day in history the year I was born, 1957.

One happend in New Orleans, one happend in Canada that affected my province.

I don't want to give too much away yet, but will respond with more clues as this progresses. You will have to get both things to be a winner, and once someone gets both things the contest will be over.

People who have won something recently please give others a chance - thanks.

Winner will get some nice cigars from my growing collection.

Hey, I was born on June 27th too. 1967. I'll have to think about your question for a while. Nothing comes to mid at the moment.

hmmmmm you think i would know this because i was 2 months old in june 1957 lolo.great contest

New Orleans - Hurricane Audrey hits

Saskatoon - A saline tidal wave from Hurricane Audrey struck Miller’s ranch Levees

OK here is my guess

1. Hurricane Audry in New Orleans
2. A large snow storm in SK

1. was easy, 2 I"m not 100% sure of.

Hang on.....

Something historical happened in Saskatchewan (sp)? Just Kidding. Being from Fargo, where the only historical thing to happen is flooding, I am highly curious as to what you are referring.

Joe

PS: a large snowstorm is the norm. A lack thereof might be historical but it would have to be a helluva storm to make Canadian history.

Hey, Bikeman...my great grand dad was born in June of '57!

J/K Brother  Great contest, unfortunately, I have absolutely NO idea on this one.

Ok, here goes...

1. Huricane Audrey in New Orleans.

2. Completion of Trans Canada Microwave relay system - so your parents could watch TV.

That second one is hard. If that's not it I have one more guess, then I'm stumped.

I thought he was elected on June 21 and took office on the 27th. Oh well.... I tried

Very good HammondC - that is the name I was looking for.

John G Diefenbaker became the Prime Minister of Canada that year, and he is from Saskatchewan - a little town called Prince Albert, our gateway to the north. (Google it, and you will be surprised at how beautifull it is).

You guys did very well, especially the weather guesses. We have had snow in June, but only once in my life time. And Spider - I am going to get you for that one, it may take a while, but some Reas All Havana have your name on them.

HammondC PM me with your addie, and the stuff will be out as soon as I can get to the PO.

Thanks for playing guys, it was a lot of fun. I have wanted to do it for a while now, but up untill this last week or so, I did not have much to send.

There you go!!

Yaaaay! This is fun. I am gonna have to come up with some trivia.

THanks a bunch bikeman!
