hmmmmm Oasis gone nuts?

I was checking out my stash and checked the humidity on my oasis and saw it was at 78%! I have it set at 70% and I can hear it run from time to time. I know that due to tempature the humidity can be effected but not when it's 70 degrees.


Beginning to think I should just invest in more beads.

You could have a bad sensor. Many were innaccurate when the new models came out. How long have you had it? The warranty is a year so maybe you can send it back.

Did you see the RH on the Oasis itself or a separate digital hygrometer? Digital hygrometers can also give wildly innaccurate readings when the batteries die down.

I've had it in the humi for about 3 months. The read out was off of the unit itself. I've got my digital hydrometers in my other humidors and not in the one with the Oasis.

I haven't check it with my other hydro just yet. I'm checking the calibration on the hydro's now with the Boveda pak.

I quess as long as I'm not below 65% and above 75% I should be alright. I hope :lol:

No problem, I change mine when I change my clocks and smoke detectors.
