Have smoked five Churchills, five Double Coronas and one Toro.Churchill and Double Coronas were outstanding.More like a premium rather than a bundle cigar.Firm construction, good presmoke.Stays lit but not a fast burn.Lots of smoke.Medium strength with hints of flavors such as :damp woods, some nuttyness and minor floral taste.Jump on this cigar. Without the band, I would have put this in the $4 to $5 dollar range. No signs of youth, no amonia, these cigars are ready to smoke. I'll report on the Toro later, I have four more to smoke.
Hard to believe this smoke is $1.00- I like it.

Glad you like them Malone. When sampling these, It was hard to believe it was only going to be a dollar smoke, I really enjoy the Aroma in these as well...

Cigarsmoka:
I started as a beer & shot drinker with a Lucky Strike in the early 60's.It has taken 40 plus years but I now enjoy and can afford a good drink and a good cigar, but price is not always a measure of good taste. For example, I love Manhattans made from a cheap blend- Imperial-Crown Royal sucks as a Manhattan but is great on the rocks.
I love imported German beers, but still like a Pabst Blue Ribbon with a shot of Red Eye on occasion.
I love Cubans- can afford Padrons, but enjoy a good cheap cigar that taste good- like a Riata & Honduran Primos. There is always room for the Premiums in my humidor, but I need and cherish my lean days when I could only afford a buck. I still revisit my lean days, and that is why i enjoy the quest for a good cheap cigar. My ego can be big, but I take great joy and pride that I can enjoy a ball game in the bleachers even though I can afford box seats. People are great in the bleachers- some in the boxes are phonies who enjoy life only through their pocketbook. Same might be said for some cigar smokers who only value the price of the brand rather than the quality of the smoke.
I'm now a suit and tie guy who prefers jeans and boots. Suit and tie guys are in my opinion " Fifty dollar hair cut guys". I spend $8.00 for a hair cut.
I'm done.

THANKS FOR GIVING ME THE ABILITY TO VENT.

it is my opinion that if you can afford to buy the best and most expensive all the time you will not enjoy what you get nearly as much as if you started at the bottom with the best bang for the buck buys. same with everything. you buy a car and fix it up, you dont automaticaly put the top dollar turbo charger or the best reproduction fender you can buy. that will get you no satisfaction. start slow, go to the pick and pull and get a decent looking fender for the car and learn to paint it yourself. same for stereo equipment, even for cigars. if you start off with the best thats it, its all equal or down hill from there, theres no room to go any further and nothing to keep for a special occasion.

Malone,

I should have you endorse my cigars more often. Since you posted I am completely sold out of every size, and we had a ton of these things. Expecting more from Honduras in the coming weeks. Thanks for the great feedback malone and thanks to everyone who believed in this cigar. Making a quality cigar for $1.00 was a tough endevor.

Alex:
Thanks for the good words, but I'm not a true reviewer. You were kind enough to give me a recommendation and I followed it.If I did not like the cigar, I would have posted my negatives but would have added any positives the cigar offered.
This cigar was unique and I paid attention as to how I commented.
The uniqueness was not the $1.00 price but the quality of a bundle cigar. I have no tollerance for a cheap bundle that has been starved of tobacco. If a Churchill ( say 7x50) bundle lasts 30 minutes- no good-packed too light.
The Honduras Primeros Churchill lasted over 55 minutes, and I was smoking this boy trying it out to see if it got young. No amonia. No youth. Out of the box ( excuse me pouch) these were ready to light up and enjoy.
The credit belongs to you Alex for buying these right and offering them to us at great prices.
I'll always have a box(pouch) in my humidor for a very good cheap smoke.
Thanks again- it's why I love this forum.
In closing, my Diplomas ( 3 ) are due in a few days.I can't wait.
Wait until I send my comments.
With respect
Malone

Wow pretty soon this place is going to turn into a diploma fan page. Yes more are on the way and will be in later this month. Will be sending a "back in stock" email.

wait, the diploma or the primeros? i like the primeros a lot, im trying to find a buying buddy to split a bundle, when they are back in stock that is. i will be trying the diploma i got with the april club selection this weekend hopefully.

i really want to get a bundle of the primeros so i thought i would bring this thread back to life as a reminder. Alex post an update if you know you will be getting more of this cigar soon. Reading back through the thread again has been a teaser. I hope i am on the list for the email about the stock being updated.

Thank you everyone for your patience. I had over 5000 of these things and the flew out the door. I called Honduras this morning and they said more are on the way and that I should have them by the end of the month. STAY TUNED.
