I need to get Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) for cheap. I'd like to get either 2003 or 2004. If anyone knows of a good source, let me know. My school won't help me out on it either. Jerks.

Many universities have license agreements with Microsoft, and will sell all of their products at greatly reduced prices to students and faculty. Here at UNL, its $20 for MS Office. If your school won't help, I'd suggest asking someone at a different university to hook you up.

Don't really know anyone at another university. Plus, I heard the university authorization will expire when you leave.

The university version is the same as the one you would get from Best Buy or CDW or wherever. It won't expire when you leave.

Go to the main campus bookstore. That's where you should find the software you desire.

http://www.openoffice.org mostly compatible costs nothing. Works very well with MSO 2003.

Who notes you can buy Star Office (the commercial version) for $40 and up.
