So imagine you're space cadet and you left one of your favorite cigars out of your humidor for 24 hours. How long do you think you would leave it in the humi before it was balanced again? It would have been left in 40%rh and about 60 deg. :duh:

I don't think there's an exact science to it, but I guess it would depend on the cigar. If it's something that's very oily you probably wouldn't have to rehumidify it for too long, may a few days to a week.
Something with a Connecticut Shade, probably longer. One day though isn't too bad. If your humidity is in the upper 60's in your humi., it'll probably be okay to smoke as is. If it's in the lower 60's then better allow it to balance back out.

I don't think it would matter at all. At the most, the wrapper might dry out a little. If a new cigar takes a few weeks to a month to stabilize in your humidor, one day out shouldn't do much.

In fact many people do this very practice prior to smoking. Its called dryboxing.

A wise man from a state called Pennsylvania once suggested to me to leave out my cigars for a few hours before smoking them (Calm down Bob - you are a different wise guy..errrr... man). I always do that now and find they smoke great. I don't think a day is going to do too much.

Just my 2 cents.

I think we had better consider naming a Larry soon. Nyuck, nyuck.
