Ok so I went to replace the batteries in my hygrometer today and found out that its kaput. So I need to get a new one and figured this would be a good time to see what you guys are using. I had a radio shack remote digital, but since it didn't last for more than just one year I a looking for a new type that is nmore reliable, but still resonably priced. Any suggestions? What do you guys like?

I have got two Envirocare hygrometer that I got from Home depot both tested perfect with the salt test. Nice big easy to read numbers to. I got them on sale for 14 bucks each.

i will check when i get home tonight as to what it is called, but i bought a small walmart one that works well enough.

Mine are Flukers from Petsmart. They have temp, memory, and humidity functions all rolled into a very compact package.

They are designed for reptile cages, and are both very accurate.

There you go my brother!

I did the Walmart thing too. Around $15 and haven't had any problems with it ... yet.

I have 3 Fluckers hygros and have tested all 3 several times and seem to be very accurate

I use the adjustable ones from Heartfelt Ind. After testing and adjusting them, they work like a charm.

I use an indoor/outdoor thermometer / hydrometer from Oregon Scientific. They cost a little more but are very accurate.

High tech shmi tech. I have 2 soap dishes. I drilled holes in the top and put a piece of floral foam(green stuff you put fake plants in) in each soap tray(total of 2) and filled it with something like this...
Cigar.com 50/50 Humidifying Solution 8 oz Bottle
It keeps it at a perfet 70 percent humidity. LOVE it.
