A Month and a half ago My wife found a scrap booking bag on E-bay and asked if I could get it for her, No Problem. It was an immediate payment auction and would ship it tow business days. Well two well a week went by and I did not get a shipping conformation So I e-mailed and they told me they would look into it. well they said that it was back ordered, they did not let me know I had to ask. Another week went by and still nothing, I e-mailed again and was told they would check into it, again they told me they were surprised I did not get it. They did not tell me I had to ask. two more e-mails two more responses. Finally after a month I received my bag. I thought about it for two days before leaving Neutral Feed back. My exact feed back was "Item was of good quality, Shipping took way to long". Today they leave me Negative feedback and say. "Item delivered w/in specified time...BUYER IS A LIAR!!" I am mad as heck. I check my email and there is a Email from the seller saying that if I want to remove it to mutually withdraw feedback on the item. that is EBay black mail. I have asked them several times today What did I do wrong, Were am I a Liar. they keep sending me the same thing. If I want to remove it from my profile...... I emailed EBay on it, I am not sure if they will do anything. the seller has 5 Neg and 4 Net. this months and they did the same thing to each person. Do I have any recourse? I hate to agree, and withdraw my feedback for them as well, I feel that I left them honest feedback.

can you post the email they wrote you about the backorder under the feedback? By the way, I believe it is illegal for them to charge your card when an item is backordered.
That is exactly why I don't use ebay anymore. I had a 126 perfect record and some guy sold me dried up printer ink. HE sad I could send it back but it was 15 bucks with shipping so another 5 to send it back meant I would be ending up with 5 bucks. I gave him a neg for selling me a dried up ink but I said he offered me a refund but it was not worth it. He gave me a neg the next day? I complained to ebay and they told me they do not interfere with feedback unless it is threatening or dirty. I filed a complaint with pay pal who ebay now onwes got my money back and told both ebay and paypal to screw. As a seller on ebay I ALWAYS posted feedback for buyers as soon as I was paid. Most buyers withhold feedback so they can retaliate. Ebay should have changed the policy to sellers have 24 hours after being paid to leave feedback.

I got screwed on ebay too barcochris. I was selling some books but my emailed changed. I emailed the buyer twice but he never replied. He waited until the 30th day (the last day you can leave feedback) then left negative feedback on me saying I didn't reply to his email! He bailed on the buy and left me the negative and there was nothing I could do. I think you can make a reply to the negative feedback tho. Just say briefly what happened. People like that give the place a bad name. Sorry for your troubles.

I haven't bought anything off ebay for well over 2yrs now, maybe closer to 3. I'll use it to sell stuff but if I want something bad enough, I'll pay more for it elsewhere.

I used to buy through Ebay frequently years ago. I noticed about a year and a half ago that the sellers weren't providing feedback right away even if you paid immediately. What a way to blackmail a buyer to either (a) give a positive response or (b) no reponse for bad service.
The system was intended to show who the good buyers/sellers are - it is extremely flawed now. I really don't use Ebay anymore.

Lost in translation
whne i use ebay I don't even pay attention to the feedback. I don't give it, and I could care less if you give it about me. If I want to buy somethign I buy it. If you want to sell something sell it. I don't have time for popularity contests. As long as the guy isn't ripping someone off I will buy from them.
I have never had a good ebay experience and the fact that they do not allow guns has pretty much stopped me from using them. Craigslist is much better and free.
