Went to the beach last weekend and married off my oldest daughter. Everything went well, but it was no vacation. Too bad it's the only one I'll get this summer.

Smoked some good cigars over the weekend ... CAO's, Gurkhas, Punch, Cuesta Rey's, Cusano 18's, and most of a box of A.F. Hemingway Best Sellers (thanks again to CC for that deal) got torched after the wedding.

Weather was great, food and drinks were great (I had too much of both), so I guess I can't complain too much. My oldest son took leave from the AF and flew in for the wedding, so all in all I guess it's been a good few days.

For some reason I feel older ...

Glad to hear about your good time. And thank your son from AmBack and America. By the way, now that your oldest daughter's gone, are ALL the kids out of the house?

Because you know what it means when they are.

THE PARTY'S ON!!!   :cheerschug:  :wine: :wine: :hypercolor: :hypercolor:

Actually, since the bride's parents pay for the wedding, they might not be relaxing too much until the $137,500 is paid off.

:eek:mg: :eek:mg: :flush: :flush:  :help: :help:

Congrats Dean, I hope the bride and groom enjoyed the wedding and your pockets are not too empty after it.

Well, we still have two more, a son (14) and a daughter (13).

And the oldest daughter and hubby are living with us while he finishes another year of school for his permanent teaching certificate. Does everyone see SUCKER stamped on my forehead???

I was actually surprised at how much less the cost of a beach wedding was than doing the big church wedding at home. Of course we still have a reception to do since everyone wasn't able to travel to the beach. I'm sure more of my cigars will go up in smoke then as well.

Oh, you'll see more than cigars go up in smoke, dbrad4d. Like Benjamins. :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :cryinlaugh:

Hey bloof - how cruel can you be brother!!

Congratulations brother, we wish all the best for your daughter and her new hubbie!!

Bloofy is correct ... lol ... Of course the good part is like the situation that came up when everyone went to dinner after the wedding ...

My daughter came up to me and asked if she could have something and I told her to go ask her husband.

And I did neglect to mention that they gifted me a nice Vector lighter. I got an odd look from them when I told my son-in-law that I thought I got the better end of the deal.

Congrats! And I think I see an explanation of why you haven't responded when I IM you on MSN! It's probably not you on line!!! Either that or I'm on the "crap list"! I imagine it's the former.

Congrat's again! Watch those cigars closely!

Awww now, you know better than that Tiny Tim

I think all that MSN stuff uses the same login so if I log onto hotmail it shows that I'm logged onto messenger as well but I don't have messenger open. Maybe it should alert me somehow that I have a message.
