Ok, heres the deal. This forum, and other places, got me hooked on cigars. some time ago i got a small 25 count humi. i told myself(as im sure most of the people here did upon the purchase of their first humi) that this would be more than enough. well, we know how this ends.

the question then is what do i look for in a larger humi? what sort of features do i need to avoid/ search out? im looking between 75 and 200 count. nothing too huge, but enough to keep me in constant supply...

any suggestions happily accepted.

thanks

We've got another one!!! Congratulations. If you're already questioning yourself, then go for at least a 300 count. BWAAAHAAHHHHHHHH!!!! Welcome to the club, a great club at that.

Go big. The 300's are wicked small. Go for at least a 1000 ct. I went from 50 to a 300 to a 1200 in about two months.

These guys are right, go big! If you do grab a 300ct, be prepared to get a cooler or two in the near future! heheh

Buy the biggest and best humi you can possibly afford.

Just get a cooler and be done with it. Cheap and easy. Mine keeps a great seal.

Good luck in your quest brother!! It sounds like a coolerdoor is in your future for sure!

Thisis the one I recently got to go with a 50-count and a 200-count I already have.

It ain't pretty, but it does the job.

Do you guys remember when Capt finally broke down and built himself a WALK-IN humidor, RIGHT IN HIS HOUSE!?!?!?!? Talk about going WHOLE HOG!!! He went whole HIPPO, hee, hee, heee!!!

i hate all of you. im glad this amuses you so much...

forget a humidor.

im building a damn coolidor. i hope you all are happy...

but really, thanks for all the help here, the pms, and all the chatroom time...

Don't feel bad. I was able to stop at four desk tops, even though I've been smoking cigars for nearly 11 years. I've hardly smoked any in the past two years, but when health/mental health/life stabilizes a bit more, I hope to go back to my 2-3 per week average. I would say that my four desk tops would fit a total of 200-250 if they were full, so that still makes me a small fry.

Bdub, I would love to shoot your avitar and have my lab retrieve it.......

Grab a Cooler until it all levels off & you need a cabinet.
or 3 like in my house
Or just build a walk-in. Then when that fills up you just pour a slab in the yard & park a refrigerated semi trailer on it, modify the the heating & cooling systems for cigar storage, line it with cedar, and add a humidification system. A modified barn would also be a good option. You'll probably want to put up a new one so it doesn't smell of livestock & is well insulated though.

the apartment manager wont let me add rooms, so walk in out...

as to shooting/eating the pheasant...you gota beat me to it...me and my 870(aka The Widow Maker) are on a mission.
