Ok, this doesn't really apply to cigars... But, I am just wondering how many people would be interested in this.

A close friend of mine and I have been making different salsas for quite a while now, and have shared them with friends. Everyone seems to love it, so, this summer we are going to start canning our own salsa and see if anything happens, at least it will be fun.

Our top recipe is Mango & Black bean salsa (ranging from ext hot to mild). We are also working on some tomato based, mild, and very hot salsa. Thankfully his father is a very well known chef in Europe and US, and my father is a top business consultant!

Is anybody here interested enough in salsa to buy some and have it shipped? We don't have details now about price, it won't be expensive. We would even make the order to your specific request (i.e. mild, more garlic, more cilantro etc.)

Thanks, John

Hello? I'm Mexican. I loooooove Salsa! I'd love to try some. Keep us posted.

My brother used to make a killer tomatoe salsa, I know that my family would always be up for some!!

I dont want to sound like a party pooper, but what regulations do you need to follow?

Does it spoil? Does it need special care or FDA approval?

Just looking out for your interests and also my friends here.

Oh, and I too would be interested. 8)

I will deff keep everybody posted. Anybody else curious? If you want, you can send me your email, we will be keeping people updated with what's going. We are hoping for this to take off.

PM or email if you wish

Thanks, John

Salsa is tricky to can, because of the low acid content. But, we will be adding the correct amount of bottled lemon juice to raise the acid to a safe level of canning. We will always use the safest possible canning method. keep the Q's coming.

Ah Mango's, you know how some people are allergic to peanuts or shellfish or what ever. Well, my wife who had no known allergies at all found out that she was/is very allergic to mango's one summer afternoon when some were added to the usual fruit selection.

i'm the same way...but its wierd...I can eat a mango if its been peeled and I dont touch it (I love mango) but if I handle it my face breaks out into a terrable rash

Banihex, are you stealing ideas from Big Papi's tv commercials?

"My new recipe for Mango Salsa, Whooooooh!"

hmmm, haven't seen that commercial.

I guess I am just keeping them on their toes....

Im a salsa freak. I can eat a whole jar in one sitting. Becca gets mad cause i eat all the chips.

I hear ya, I eat an entire batch of this Mango & Black bean salsa. I can't even move after. Oh, what a great feeling!

My wife and daughter are like that, it is like a feeding frenzy when we bring out the salsa and chips.

Have any of you guys tried those chips with a hint of lime in them? They are awesome with a cold beer. I think it is Tostado that makes them.

I know the chips you're talking about. I don't like them at allllll. I don't like any tostado chips. Blue corn, natural ingrediants chips are best.

So do you buy a limited production brand, or just a regular brand, I would like to know so I can expand my horizons.

It seems like those special chips often carry a very special price though, and I wonder if they are really worth it.

There you go, chips and salsa and beer, nothing better!

::Bump::

Just in case some people didn't get to see this thread.

Ive got a friend that works for tostitos. Before they put out the hint of lime chips i got to try some of their sample runs. There ok for the first couple of chips but after that i cant eat them.
