I've been checking out this board for a while now, so I figured I might as well introduce myself:

I'm originally from the Big Apple but have been in soggy southern California for the past 5 years. I'm about to make a career change from IT consultant (too many explaining over and over and over again) to...chef. Restaurants have been in my family for years so I guess it was inevitable. I've been a cigar smoker for the better part of 7 years, and this board just further fuels my passion for them.

I'm glad there's a place like this where otherwise stangers can share their love of the sacred leaf.

As I write this I'm smoking a Montecristo H2000 from their original release in 1999. I think it's the Buena Fortuna, but these only have the frontmark and 5x47 on the paper sleeve. They used to be box pressed, but signs of that are pretty much gone except when I roll it between my fingers. I picked up several boxes of these back then with the intention of setting them down for a while to mellow them out a bit. Glad I did...nice and smooth with an amazing aroma.

As far as preferences:
Anything Padron, especially the PAM's
Opus X and Añejo's
Punch Rare Corojo
Anything Ashton except the regular line
AF 858 Mad and Sungrown, Hemmingways
LGC Serie R
...there's more I could list but I'm enjoying this stick so much I can't think right now :lol:

Anyone have any thoughts or reviews on the Forbidden XX's? I have a dozen of them just waiting for the right occasion.

I'm always up for trying something new so I'm looking forward to the box pass as well.
