So Cal
How's it going everybody?

I'm still alive and kicking, just been working real hard lately.
We are 4 concerts into our winery's jazz concert season and I run the outdoor grill menu.
I've been spending my off time trying to squeeze in as many errands and jobs around the house as I can, but there's never enough time.
Somehow in all this madness I've managed to have a girlfriend who is supportive and inspirational...plus I finally convinced her to share a Don Carlos robusto and a PAM 64 with me, LOL.

I'll try to post as often as I can...It's good to be back.

Hello to all of the new members as well...welcome

Wow - that's an awesome girlfriend!

Glad to hear you're still kicking around - I'd love to check your place out some day. How close to San Diego are you? I may be out that way next May for my sister's graduation.

I was thinking about you quite a lot last week, and here you are!!! Glad things are going well, and remember what I said about the food business, which you already knew going in. It's your whole life now, and it will be for as long as you're in it. Most of your life, including girlfriends, all kinds of friends will be from that realm. Enjoy it, don't work too hard, and try to keep the belly down when you hit 40 and become an aging chef, hee, hee, heee!!!

Good to hear from you Paisan - glad you are doing well.

The last trip I made to California I was pressed for time - next time out I will give you advanced warning - love to have a smoke with you again, Anthony!

We missed you man - glad to have you back.

Thanks guys, glad to be back.

Kevin, that sounds like a plan brother.

Cybrus, I'm about 50 miles north of downtown San Diego in wine country.

Bloof...no promises on keeping the belly down, but I do find time to hit the weights several times per week, haha.

Temecula? Lake Elsinore?

If so, then I'm about another 90 miles north of you.

Hey Anthony,
Good to see you back on the boards. Gald to hear things a re well, sad that you are busy with work and not other fun pursuits.

Glad to hear it Axe, as hitting the weights a few times a week will not only keep the belly down, but enable you to live life at a higher level of horsepower and overall health than not doing so.

Please pass the German Chocolate Cake, hee, hee, heee!!!

Good to see you back Axe. I was wondering what you had been up to, should have figured it was something food related.

Sounds like things are going pretty darn well for you, congrats.

A g/f that likes fine cigars? Shes a keeper.

Hi Walker!

She is definitely a keeper Cloudy.

You said it Bloof, if it wasn't for my workouts I'd be dragging at work.

90 miles isn't that far Doc, when I have some free time we should arrange a meeting

Dave, as stressful as work can get at times (especially this past weekend with a concert Sat night, followed by Mother's day buffet on Sunday), it is still as fun as when I started. I'm fortunate to be surrounded for the most part by fun people who always seem to crack a joke at the right time. Of course there are a few bad apples but that's another story altogether

Plus pretty soon we'll be getting externs so it's about to get a whole lot more fun

Axe, good to hear from you again. I too have been a little absent from here. I hope one day we can all be back to the "good ole' days"...
