I just smoked my first Joya De Nicaragua Celebracion in a corona size. I was recommended this cigar because my local shop knows how much i enjoy padron. This cigar, like padron, is made with all nicaraguan tobacco. I was interested to see how it would smoke because i cracked the wrapper in two places carrying it in my pocket. The construction was phenomenal though, it smoked through the first crack ( about an inch in length) as if it wasn't there. Ash held well throughout the cigar, and the burn was even the entire time. The cigar tasted as i hoped it would. It was coffee and leather for most of the cigar. The smoke was creamy and plentiful, but the cigar had a tight draw for the first half inch. Pricing on this cigar is around or just below that of the Padron line.
This is a must try for any Padron lover.
The bad news:
Unfortunatly this cigar was in violation of my underage smoking law. Since i felt that this troubled youth had potential i sentanced a box of his buddies to 18 months in my humidor, with possible paroll at 12-15 months.
This box will be sitting next to a box of padron 3000s. which will give me an option of either a robusto shape or a corona shape, depending on my mood.
