I just bought a $12 cohiba and a humidor at the local cigar shop. I came home and was getting the humidor set up and taking the cigars out of the packages. Well the cohiba wrapping leaf was broken and unwrapping. I'm a newbie and just started this awesome hobby like two weeks ago, but isn't this a bad thing? like the $12 cigar won't even smoke? SHould I be able to bring this cigar back and ask for another one or am I pretty much out of luck?

Thanks,
Matt

my local shop will replace a cigar like that, hopefully they will do it for you. Otherwise just try to get the cigar to smokeable condition.

the shop should replace a damaged cigar like that, if they dont i wouldnt give them business anymore. you say you just bought a humidor, you need to season it for a couple days before you put cigars in it. theres plenty of information for doing this on the board.

There is a thread somewhere on here where I talked about the procedure for sucking, I mean SMOKING such a cigar. Of course, the first choice is to take it back, immediately, so they don't blame you for dropping it or storing it improperly. If you keep it, you can always, don't laugh, give it a blow j-------, wellllllll, let's just say if you give it a nice, gentle, but very wet, ummmmmmm, "treatment" just prior to smoking it, you can get the wrapper to stay on. You may have to repeat the treatment a couple times throughout the smoke, but it will work. Trust me, I've given plenty of blow j--------, errrrrrrrr, ummmmmmmmmmm, hummuna, hummuna, hummuna, . . .

TREATMENTS before!!!

To CIGARS, I'M TALKING ABOUT CIGARS HERE!!!

:dunno: :duh:

Yea, but then it will want to call you afterward.........Maybe even say I love you..........

Well, as long as someone took the time to give the O.P., that's "Original Poster," . . .

O.P., ORIGINAL POSTER!!!,
O.P., ORIGINAL POSTER!!!, . . .

(not Opie, as in the old Andy Griffith show), . . .

the right answers to the information requested, then we can have some fun here. :dunno:

And just in case N.Keef does have any further questions, we're here to help, as always. In truth, the only two things that could be done with such a cigar are . . .

(i) by all means, take it back;
(ii) or put it away, and on the day you smoke it, be prepared to give it a blow job.

I wasn't kidding about that. I've done it a number of times through the years, and they smoke just fine. Just don't do it too conspicuously in public, and NEVER in front of your guy friends. :cryinlaugh:

Personally, I have found blowing cigars very unsatisfying. It is not all its cracked up to be.

:soap:

ah

fortunately I didn't have to blow anyones cigars. I just got back from the shop and they exchanged it w/out question.
