Well, it's been 25 wonderful years since my Teresa made an honest man outta me. It's hard to believe she has put up with me for so long. It's equally hard to believe that I have put up with her. It's just that I couldn't understand how if she left me she would have a wonderful house and the kids and I would have to pay for it. I guess that's life huh? The kids keep leaving, coming back, leaving, coming back........oh, let that go. When my son ( 18 ) leaves for the Marine Corps I pray he comes back. My daughter and her son and husband need help from time to time, so we are here. Yeppers, once a parent, always a parent. Anyway, my wife and I are off to Maui in April for some sun and surf and relaxation. I am planning on taking some cigars along. What are the chances of that? Right? I am wondering about my butane lighter and the airline. Should I get a travel humi? Should I just get wooden matches? I read an ad for a zippo lighter that was the only lighter alowed to fly. Is this true? Can I not even pack a butane lighter in my luggage? If you guys and girls have experienced this, I would love some advice. Also, are there any good cigar shops in Maui? We will be at the Hyatt near Lahina. Thanks for your help, and as always, for listening ( reading ).

Yep, only a dry zippo. They also have to be in a special case. Just get some wooden matches or a cheap torch there. Your cigars won't last long if not in a humi so a travel humidor would probably be a good idea. Cigar Caddy's are great but there are many others out there.

Congratulations on the anniversary brother, I know exactly what you mean, my wife and I celebrate 25 years next July.

I too would reccomend a travel humodor, or at least a small Tupperdoor if you can do it.

PM me your addie, perhaps I can send you the next best thing.

There you go!

Damn Dogs 25 years that is awesome!
Misa and I will be doing our 5th coming up shortly.
We were talking about it lst night - how fast it has gone by
Life is good!

Congratulation!!! Wow 25 years!!! Terra and I just hit 10 years last Sept. Enjoy Maui, I hear its amazing. Have a safe trip. Don't forget to bring us all back a cigar from the trip

Congrats, Foodislife!

You'll have lots of fun in Maui. I'm originally from Oahu, Honolulu, and I've never been to Maui. Go figure, eh?

Hawaii will be warm and HUMID. Always 70-90% RH. So be careful with your cigars. And, don't buy your cigars from the tourist hotels. They'll be extremely overpriced for you tourists.

My parents are coming for a visit from Hawaii in a few weeks.

If you're gonna be on Oahu, let me know.

make sure you don't have a torch lighter in your carry on bag because I forgot about mine on my way home from vegas a few months ago and they found it and I was treated like a criminal and searched multiple times. Then I had to pay 14 bucks to mail it to myself. I think you can check them without a problem...but I don't know that for sure.

From what I've read you can't even have it in checked baggage. For reasoning, on one of the government websites it talks about a guy that checked his toolbox with a butane microtorch inside. It ended up depressurizing or something inside the toolbox.

Congrats on the 25 ! , not many of us get that far, this Aug will be 36 for my Better half & myself, 2 of the best years of my life , the first 2, thats when I was still in the Nav, I was there & she was here at home hahahahaha ! Enjoy Hawaii !
