Hey everyone.

I was looking for not just a Cameroon wrapper, but a cigar that consists of nothing but African grown tobacco. I'm not having much luck finding such a cigar and my local shop is pretty clueless as well. If you guys could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to the Forum.

I have never heard of a cigar with all African grown tobacco, but if you want, you can try the Don Lino Africa

This cigar has premium tobacco from Africa, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Hondorus. Never had one myself but they have been recomended. Apparantly the box they come in is a safari chest!

Montecristo Afrique:
African Cameroon wrapper, blended with African filler tobaccos grown in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro and potent ligero fillers from Peru.

Ashton Cigarillos:
Binder: Central Africa
Filler: Dominican Republic
Wrapper: Central Africa

Africa's economy is a mess and they have little tradition in the cigar production industry. Due to the unique and popular flavor of Cameroon wrappers, some tobacco gets grown and exported from Cameroon and the Central African Republic. These are some dangerous places to do business and tobacco is not a serious factor in the economies of these countries. We are fortunate to get the wrappers. Here is a great article on the topic:

yea it's a shame :( That continent has had so much hardship over the last few centuries.

Thanks for the suggestion guys.

The Montecristo Afriques' that FreedomGuns mentioned are really good. I have got a few of the Afrique jambo jambo in the humidor

From what I understand, there is not enough consistent African tobacco to make and African Puro. Although I like the idea and might just steal it.

Cigar.com African Label - Oh Baby!

The Cameroon wrapper is hard enough with demand.
