Happy Memorial day weekend to all. As most of the populos would think that this weekend is the unofficial start to summer, and an extra day off from work, another reason for the retail industry to have yet another sale, please do not let us forget what this holiday is truely about. As you go out to the sales or lite up that grill or what ever you may do, think about all the men and women that have made it possible for you to do so. So as I may be a couple days early I would like to say thank you to all of our service men and women and a prayer for those that have past already. Memorial day, a day to remember those that have made life in these beautiful United States what it is.

Thank You and God Bless,

Rick

When I was born, waaaaay back when, Memorial Day was always May 30th, my birthday. I was diligently instructed as to the true meaning of the day, and it's been with me for my whole life. Within two years of high school graduation, fully 20 of my classmates had died in Vietnam, many more wounded or just messed up otherwise. It's a special day for me.

And here's to everyone who's ever served in our Armed Forces, you're the best we have, and you make the rest of us possible.

Officially Summer

I do look at this holiday as the beginning to summer. As I do labor day being the beginning of fall. I thank all the men and women whom have followed in my footsteps. At times I don't agree why we have troops in foreign land's, but I would rather be there than in my backyard.
I just watch my kid's and now my grandkid's loving life, and know it's the people who gave the ultimate to make this possible. Thank you to all of parents and family of those who did so with honor.
Let's not forget to take a moment and pour a little of your favorite spirit in honor of those who won't be with us.

I am having a quiet Celebration here at the Qtr.Deck, a Scotch for all my Buddy's in the Navy, Marines, Air-force , Coast Guard & Army , I was asked to speak at the Memorial again this year but I declined , it is time to let some of the younger Vets take up the platform , Duty , Honor & Sacrifice are what we are all about . Time to pass the torch to the next generation, God Bless you all.
Enjoy, Vince

Today I honor and celebrate the lives of three of my friends who gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.

Three years ago they lost their lives in the Anbar Province of Iraq.

You will be remembered and honored as heros.

Fair winds and following seas, brothers.

Semper Fidelis.
