i just found out we have a little shop here that only carries micro-brews. I have not gone in yet but i wondered if you guys could help recommened some to try that might go well with a cigar. I am a beer fan so I can't wait to visit this shop.

I would suggest an an American wheat. ...very refreshing, thirst quenching ( good summer beer) with a very clean finish. German wheat (wit) on the other hand has a clove/ banna tasting yeast that would not work well with a good cigar.....wheat beer also acts as an excellent palate cleanser.

Most of the Abita lines usually a winner (Purple Haze in particular if you're looking for a little something different.)

I also also enjoy a few from Dog Fish Head or Stone Brewery (Arrogant Bastard Ale or Ruination) with a Full bodied stick.

Try this:
A shot of Razmataz in a pint glass. Add any wheat type beer on top. Do not stir. Enjoy.
Women who don't like beer- love it.
To make it even better use Chambourge instead of Razmataz.
It even works with cheap beer.
A little tip from Germany.
Malone.

Sweet Water Brewery out of Atlanta

I came from GA not to long ago with a case of Sweet Water IPA, Strong stuff! Alot of HOP.
Unless you're a HOP HEAD try the 420, It's a great Pale Ale.

Also out of Maryland is a brewery called Wild Goose. The IPA, Pale Ale and Oatmeal Stout are some of my favorites.

I've heard of a place in VA called "Legend". Never tried but heard good things about their lager.

Let me know if you find that,

Beer is Good Food!!!!!

I think Cobsgirl will agree with me on this one.

Any New Belgium beer. They make Fat Tire, Sunshine Wheat, Abbey, Trippel, 1554, Blue Paddle, Loft, and a slew of other.

They are based out of fort collins and not sold in every city. It is my favorite brewery of all time. If you can find it, it is a must try. Particularly the fat tire.

i have had the fat tire and will be getting some if they have it :D

I would like to try their other beers also.

deschutes is the only word you need to know. they make an AWSOME porter.

If any of your guys get to St. Louis there is a microbrewery there called The St. Louis tap Room. They make Schlafly. The Hefeweizen is the most refreshing beer I have ever had. Once in my early drinking years me and two buddies bought a keg and put it in my living room. For 2 days straight we only left the couch to use the rest room or get more ice. I can't remember how many times I dozed off and was awken by a sudden crave for more. It was easy to get to since I passed out with a mug in hand. That is probably the 2 most useless days of my life, but God it was beautiful.

oh thank god, i was about to hunt him down and pee on his shoes!

im having a few beers right now after a super long day... didn't get home till 7pm :(

i didn't get to smoke anything today and now its raining, that sort of fits the day i had anyway. Can't wait till tomorrow since i dont have to work

Why don't you send some of that rain my way...I haven't had any since mid-March

it just stopped so maybe it will come say hello, while its gone im going to continue drinking beers and smoke something from the deep south

yes it was very good, have you tried what i sent you? Im curious to know what you thought.

I've tried one of each. I had the ERDM early one morning and it was great. It had a creamy taste and a great aroma. It was very smooth. The Boli on the other hand was a little firecracker! The draw started out tight but opened up after 3/4 inch. It had some power to it, more than the Royal Corona I had recently. It had a nice coffee flavor that lingered. I'm gonna let the other rest for a while. They were both great, and if the Choix was easier to get than Short Stories, it might become my morning go-to smoke.

Thanks again :)
