Since it came up, thought I'd start a thread. Musicians on the board speak up!

I play a bit of everything, mostly strings and percussion, from standard rock band stuff to middle eastern instruments, and even do some music programming.

me as me - http://www.markschlipper.com
me w/ electronics - http://www.myspace.com/model563
me doing eastern vibed stuff - http://www.myspace.com/dumanmusic (I'm changing the name to "The Red Tree" due to a Turkish band with the name "Duman")
me on guitar - http://www.thelunamoth.com
me on drums - http://www.tableland.org (the recordings are old and its not me on drums, we're recording soon)

That should cover it. :)

I play Drums / Keys / Saxophone.

have played in a bunch of bands, but nothing currently. Last band was called benburnsjazz and was an acoustic act. Think of punk rock without the electricity and Dashboard without the whining.

i play mostly guitar and bass.
i also play piano, harmonica, hammer dulcimer, mandolin

i would love to get my hands on a mandicello but those are expensive and hard to come by.

cant win em all.

im trying to get a band together but drummers are on short order around here...

Brennivin, I like the Model563 stuff. I noticed on your myspace page you listed Dead Voices on Air as an influence, good musical project there. Actually saw them perform in Detroit a few years ago with Not Breathing, another great electronic based band. Theres a ton of great experimental electronica out there. I could go on for a long while listing projects that I listen to.

Marcel Duchamp is another guy I could go on and on about.

I used to play guitar when I was younger (yes they were invented back then) - I really need to start playing again - my kids take it out every once in awhile and I will play a little for them.

Kevin, we want to teach the youth of america music appreciation; not a loathing for out of tune guitar jams.

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.

Nice, the three stooges chime in...one who has a quote about a clown, the other has clown feet (size 17 I think), and the last one has clown hair.

now thats funny, I dont care who you are.

I play guitar and bass. Played in a band a long time ago, since then its just been dusting off the guitar case every now and again.

I really need to get the guitar out more often, I would love to teach my 4 year old how to play.

So many people more motivated than I am... I'd love to play the banjo and even have somebody to teach me, but I can't get myself around to doing it.

I played drums for a long time. I played drum set but I really liked doing percussion ensembles. We uesed to play some of the Stomp pieces when I was in high school. Haven't touched a stick in a couple years.

Quag, I tried the banjo, and it was impossible!!

I have played Stand-Up Bass since high school, and recently ended a 7 year commitment in a Country Gospel band. It was a great blessing, but the commitment just became too much for all of us.

I play Guitar/Bass/Drums/keys/Shakuhachi (Japanese flute) and I sing.

My main love is the Delta Blues. I study the stylings and playing techniques of Robert Johnson quite a lot.

I have played guitar for a long time. Someone told me in the 70's that C,,,,,,D,,,,,and G would make me a millionaire. The problem as I see it, is, I cant find the proper sequence for those 3 chord's. Still looking though.

me too
i thought it was C,D, then G
but that didnt work out.

maybe its a longer progression like C,G,C,D,G

all i know is that i have not made my first million.

I played the trumpet in school, then tried teaching myself the guitar about 13 years ago. Gave up on it for the better.
