5 years ago - I would buy 2-5 cigars at a time and keep them in a plastic zip lock bag so they wouldnt go bad

4 years ago - bought a desktop humidor and kept a few cigars in it at a time

2 - 3 years ago - began trying new cigars slowly

last year - began filling my humidor

Last week - spent an hour organizing my humidor so I could fit all my cigars in it.

Today - Washed out my 70 qt cooler with plans to make it into a coolerdor

I don't want to know what will come in the next few years. I'm in trouble.

If you can buy a brandy new one your better off.
I think food smells & what nots invade the plastic.
It maybe good i dpn't know without seeing it.
But cleaner is always best!

That's nothing! I started smoking one month ago. Now I have two humidors completely filled, and have a new 120 count on the way. I recently bought my first full box of cigars.

I DON"T have a problem! I don't care waht anyone says.......I am not controlled by cigars. I'm not.............really I'm not. Really......

My cooler has only held beer and ice so hopefully there should not be a problem with food smells.

Do they have meetings for people with this problem?

Yea I think they are held at the local cigar shop.

Ahh, the fun has only started, Tex. :D

Next thing you know, you'll be building a walk-in humi at your house.

I feel the pain tex!! Oh and Doc...The walk in is in the plans for the new house here in NC!!! :D

Raise your right hand and say, "I love my cigars, and I know they have taken over my life."

There now, don't you feel better??

My 60 Qt is full now. It really is to deep and not wide enough. I was thinking of one like Brenda's. Do you like it Brenda? For me I have it mounted on a wall in my closet and I was wondering if it botherd you how it opens? Sorry for the thread jack.

Jack, thats awesome!! You have CAD. Cigar acquistion disorder. When your ready for a walk-in, give me a call and I'll come down and help ya build! I got relatives in Fort Worth. I want to do a pig hunt down there this year, so draw up some plans and lets get to work!!

Capt

Thanks alot!! Sounds like a plan. There are some good hog hunting areas around here. Plenty of all day hunts for 50 bucks. If you end up coming down here come by the station and have a smoke.

When you come down for the hunt let me know. I live in Greenville, TX just east of Dallas. Alex was telling me you like to bird hunt too. I am trying to find a nice deer lease this season for my son and me. I have some nice Opus DC's aging for just such a hunt!

damn i'm just about at the "today" stage and its only been a few months for me.
although my first cigar was well over 5 years ago, I just bought my first humi a few weeks ago and already i am thinking about starting a coolidor

lol

I HEAR YAH.

I started three months ago and my 70 ct humi at home is full. Bought a box and a bundle at JRs this past weekend. Humi was so full, I had to smoke the poor cigar that wouldn't fit in it and had to take a few to my Humi at work.

And, I want to open my open cigar shop. How sick is that????

That's not sick at all. That's the cigar smoker's dream I think. Owning a place where you can skim the shipments and BS cigars all day would be heaven.

And if you can advertise on a cigar forum you would have no shortage of customers that is for sure!!

You know, steppinup, all of us here would be more than willing to sacrifice what space we have left in our humis to help store your cigars. :D

Yeah, I started a year ago.
Went from a 15 ct humi with 10 cigars to 1000 ct cabinet with 340 cigars (and counting!)

Ahhhh….

When the cigar bug bites it can be a beautiful thing…

Unless it is a tobacco beetle then it sucks!
