I need a new cigar to try. After almost five years of trial and error, I have settled on the following inventory.
Cohiba Siglo VI- 10 to 25.
Oliva- 50 to 75 of "O" Maduro- three sizes.
Diploma- 20 to 30.
Padron 3000- 15 to 25.
Monarca Maduro- 15 to 25.
Opus X Torpedo- 5 to 20.
What others do you suggest?
Remember when I started on this forum, I only smoked Padron.

Y'know, everytime someone's asking for a new cigar, or a cigar with perfect flavor, texture of smoke, supreme smoothness and medium bodied and very satisfying, like a perfect meal, especially in light of the Classics I've gotten over the past few months, I keep having to say . . .

Hemingway. As a matter of fact, this is NOT a proposal for what's commonly known as a "trade." I'll send you a PM to explain. Trust me, you'll be glad you did this.

Get your hands on a Cohiba Sublime

One of the best mokes I've had this year!

But not an everyday smoke unless your The Donald.

For an everyday smoke - I say go Cuban!
That will open a door to all sorts of trouble (for your wallet)

Signature Perfecto just didn't work the first one. The second left me a little confused- don't know why. Maybe my inexperience. It had great moments and I mean great but not consistent.
I'll give it another try. I hate to ignore a friends recommendation.

one cuban thats not bad on price is the choix supreme which is very good IMO.

Yes, that was one of the top budget priced recommendations by a friend of mine from another web site.

hmmm, I'll just put down some that I enjoy:

Joya de Nicaragua 1970
Gurkha Master's Select
Gran Habano no. 5
Padilla Hybrid

If you've not tried those four, I suggest finding em, they're damn good smokes. Plus, the price is very low on the Joyas and Gran Habanos, we're talking less than five dollars for a churchill at my local tobacconist! Padilla Hybrid robustos run me about $5.25, and Gurkhas are the most expensive of those at around $7.75.

check out the diablos... they're growing on me
pretty spicy, good flavor
the last one i had had the most perfect burn i can imagine

Malone,
I have followed your progress from the Padron 3000s to learning about other smokes. I myself keep a box of the 3000s around in my rotation. I know you like value in your cigars. Try the Onyx Reserve, a very well priced cigar with great taste.I get the ones, I think are called mini-belicoso, or something. I like the Oliva that you discovered lately, and think this might even be a little better.

Mmm I used to be a padron man myself!

I recommend trying the gran habano #5. I recommend this a lot because it's my current 'favorite' cigar (even though I have many favorites.. this is the one I have most on hand)

yes the gran habano could be a good choice. I am optomistic about the oliva master blends II that is coming out late this summer. Should be a home run but I cant say for sure since they have not been released yet.

Malone, have you tried a punch rare corojo or a punch rothchild double maduro yet?

All Punch cigars taste great but give me hick ups one half way through.
Same with the Onyx Reserve.

Malone, One of my favorite smokes latley, without breaking the bank, is El Rey Del Mundos' Robusto Larga, med.-full bodied, large ring cigar 54x6. I haven't been disappointed in one yet. :)

I forgot the El Rey del Mundo. Yes, on the Larga- I also enjoy the rectularie.

Thanks

Malone,

Have you try La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero. This smoke is make by Litto Gomez. It is a very good and tasty smoke, also very strong. Its binder and filler are Dominican, wrapper is Ecuadorian. Make sure you eat first because it will "knocked you on your butt" type of smoke, so they said.

Other suggestion include:

Camacho Havana
La Flor Dominicana Face Off by Eiroa of Camacho.

La Flor Domincana Face Off by Eiroa is basically the same smoke as La Flor Dominican, but Eiroa adds his own leaf to make it the typical Camacho taste profile.

Let me know what you think.

Good recommendation. I do not know these cigars. Will try and will let you know.
Thanks
