Need Help! OpusX

Hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I was hoping to get a little help from you guys. I am interested in purchasing a Fuente Fuente OpusX for a gift, but I'm worried that what I buy might not be the real thing. The reason I say this is because nearly everything I've read states that this is the rarest and most difficult cigar in the world to find, and consequently there are a lot of counterfeits out there. I was thinking of purchasing one off cigar.com but I'm hesitant to do that because of the whole counterfeit thing. Buying online would be ideal for me because I'm extremely busy all the time, but I would be willing to travel a bit for this cigar.

Would someone help ease my fears :? ?

Cigar. com is one of the most reputable companies out there. So if you order one from here, you're getting the real thing I can assure you.

You can trust that what cigar.com sells is legit (there is a mark-up, though.)

But, you can also check the official Arturo Fuente website for authorized retailers in your area.

Talumn you can be my friend...no problem :wink:

I just bought him a box of 16 Gurkha Titans the other day. He read about the OpusX in Cigar Aficionado so I thought I'd get him one or two to try. I might order one off here or the Old Virginia Tobacco Company's site. I think they're an authorized dealer as well.

I tried Gurkha Master Select and i liked them i bet the Gurkha Titans are some pretty good sticks too.

Well where I bought them the guy who sold them said they were one of the best, and so I tried it and I thought it rocked.

annie, let me just say this, you are AWSOME! most guys here have to hide and stay in the shadows to keep the cigars away from the wifes critical eyes. and your out there trying to buy the best of the best for him!

Thanks guys! Actually he's not my husband. He's my boyfriend of four months. Hopefully I'll be able to find him a couple of these cigars to try.

Uh oh is that bad? Well I like seeing him smile so I do a lot for him. Everyone thought the box of Titans was a bit overboard, but oh well. He was excited to fill up his humidor.

Seriously, though, everything I've seen from Cigar.com, they are a top-notch outfit. They've always been right there with customer service for me, and shipping was surprisingly fast (as in order on Monday, and it's here on Wednesday).

Welcome. Other than Cigar.com, where I buy most of my stuff. I have bought Opus X's from http://www.uptowncigar.com. Get the phone number and call them. Ask for Scott, and he'll tell you what he has in stock. Its a great company, with great service. I've ordered by phone, on-line and I've shopped at the store. They are the best. I give them an A++++ rating. They have great prices too. Hope this helps.
