Hey Everyone, I commited a big sin....

I have been so busy since January, I kinda let my humis go (2 desktops, 25counts). I didn't look after them, didn't add water at allllll. They are pretty dry now, and I am leaving Boston this Thursday for the summer. I can't take them with me, I'll be out of the country and traveling in states a lot, too much to take, and I won't be back in Boston till late August.

Is there anything I can do? Give them to someone to try and revive them over the summer? Put them in something to add humidity?

Help!
John

According to Yahoo, the humidity in Boston right now is 62% and 61 degrees which is pretty good conditions for cigars. You could leave them out for a few hours and then stick em in a ziplock with a water pillow or other such thing. If you can't take them with you, and don't know anyone to give them to, I'm sure a few folks here would be glad to help you out. :)

Your in luck. I happen to have just started a new niche business. Cloudy's cigar rehab clinic. My rates are pretty low. Just send me your inventory and I will provide my services for free. It's all I can do for a fellow BOTL.

Seriously though...

I doubt you will be able to rehab those sticks by Thursday, as far as I know, thats a time consuming process usually best done with an oasis and the humidity slowly raised over a medium to long amount of time.

If I were you, I would order some 60% beads from Heartfelt and get a cooler. You mentioned that your stuff was pretty dry, maybe 60% would be a good spot to leave them at for now. When you get back you could try and raise the rh but for now thats what I would do. At least make sure that they are not going to dry out anymore. Heartfelt usually does a damn fine job shipping, you'd most likely have your stuff on Wednesday if you ordered before Monday morning.

Good luck brother and next time take better care of those sticks!

Thanks guys,

I was at the local shop, got some stuff to regulate humidity for the summer, thanks for the advice!

I will take better care of them, whether or not I'm smoking. Hope they still taste decent when I smoke them . . .
