Never Rent From Dollar *%$#

This is funny. I am sitting here looking at my rental car with a flat tire. I just picked up the car less than 12 hours ago. The rental car company will not only help send someone to change it, but they have also informed me that I will be responsible for the cost of a new tire.

Why did I ever stop using Enterprise? This stuff never would have happened with those guys. I guess this what you get when you shop on price alone.

Moral of the story, stay as far away from Dollar rent a car as you can.

I had a similar experience - but a call to AAA to tow me to the nearest Pep Boys and a can of fix-a-flat later and no charge for a new tire!

This is good to know. I don't rent cars too often, but now I know who not to call.

That stinks! My wife rents regularly when out of town. We will exclude them from our choices. I'm pretty sure she normally uses Enterprise.

So...when do we get to here about the trip?

I almost always use Hertz or Enterprise. If you pay an extra 10 bucks a day it is worth it. Always go for the service on something that can cost you a lot in the end.

To this day, my daddy says, never buy the cheapest anything. Go for for quality, always within your budget, but be willing to stretch your budget a bit, as long as you make sure you're getting quality. But never buy the cheapest, because that's what you'll get. I've learned that lesson many times. You get what you pay for, although it's interesting what you'll find when you go just a little bit higher. You don't have to possess a Rolls-Royce budget to get quality.

Alex, that really sucks. I would complain to Dollar corporate, and go from there.

I've had cats for most of the past 40 years or so. Every time I look at the one in your avatar, I get chills. That's one feline that looks all business. Very fierce and scary.

Toonces, the driving cat, the cat who could drive a car!
I've got the jingle stuck in my head now!.... :?
Sure, the cat could drive.....BUT, he crashed EVERY episode!!!

Alex,

If you put in on a credit card, you could look into having them handle it for you.

All the best,

Joe

Who's Toonces The Driving Cat? I thought someone put a cat in their car, and in looking through the front windshield he started hissing at something he saw. Well, a driving cat sure means business though, even if he isn't mean.

I learned the hard way with rental cars. I only bought 2 of the 3 insurances from enterprise. It just so happens that I would get into an accident and owe $14K. I get all insurance possible now. :boohoo:
