Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you all know that I am finally a dad. My son was born May 30th. I'm a little late in making the announcement, but things have been a little crazy with home and work. These past two weeks have been simply amazing. I never would have believed how fast they grow and change.
Have a great day,
Sam

CONGRATS!!! Just want to wish you all the luck.

Thanks. I'll need all the luck I can get since he's my son.

Mazel Tov!

Just remember --- it is said that boys are harder as babies/toddlers and easier once they get older. I have one of each and it is scary to think of what is to come.

With a boy, you only have to worry about one THING (if you know what I am alluding to) .... with a girl you have to worry about every THING in town!

Give your child lots of LOVE and Disipline, and enjoy what life brings you.

Congratulations SWilon. Welcome to the club. I am sure you will enjoy parenthood. The toughest fun thing you will ever do.

I have three daughters and four grandsons. Welcome to the club of fatherhood, your life has official changed and for the better.

Congratulations! My son is almost 4 now and the daughter should be out mid July. They are a bit trying at times but they are more than worth it.

Success

I know of nothing better in life than watching your children become responsible adults and succeed in the life each has chosen.

Children are a long-term investment, you don't know how it is going to pay off for 30 or 40 years. The more you personally put in to your children's growth, the better the payback.

A couple of years ago we overheard our kids, now five adults, discussing our family amongst themselves. They are all a bit equine-oriented, and one of our daughters said "We were all raised on a long lead."

To us, that means that we were ready with discipline when required, but we let them do what they wanted, within our (me, + wife) limits.

Enjoy your baby now, while it is easy.

Soon, all too soon, you are going to turn around, and find your beautiful infant child asking for the keys to the car ... or a car of his own.

Thanks guys.

I know that there will be some trying times ahead, but that there will be many more wonderful memories. I just hope that I can do as good of a job as my dad did. I'm enjoying every day that I get to spend with him. He has already grown and changed so much. The time is already flying.

Thanks again,
Sam

Capt. I celebrated with a Monte from an ISOM that I had saved for the occasion.

Congratulations! We're expecting our first within the next month or so, so I know what you've been going through!

Congratulations Cybrus!!! I hope that all goes well. I hate to tell you this, but the last month is usually the hardest. It truely is the best life changing experience in the world.

Haha - we're realizing that now! Especially with the heat and humidity. She's holding up admirably though - I'd have shot someone by now I think.

Congratulation Cybrus! Everything changes when you have kids. You realize that you actually DO have a purpose in life!
