Hi everyone! New member here. Have been enjoying reading posts from members after finding this site a week or so ago. I worked one summer close to 30 years ago picking leaves for fine cigars in Windsor Locks, CT.Farm still there growing the famous wrappers. Enjoy Monte #2 and 3 White Label, Davidoffs, La Gloria Cubaba Series R Nats and others. Would enjoy trading cigars with others. Have a great evening.

I'm about to head up to Hollywood because some friends feel the need to torture me tonight, but I wanted to welcome you before I go. No telling what condition I'll be in later

Welcome to the board! With members like these, you'll have a great time here...So you worked on a tobacco farm in CT? That must have been fun.

Thanks to all who sent me a reply. Just woke up and was surprised to see some e-mails. Working on the tobacco farm was a good experience. back then - (1977-78), you could do ag work under 16 years of age. Not sure if that still holds true now. We were actually picked up and rode in the back of a dump truck about 20 miles to the farms. Don't think you could get away with that now. Luckily, I was about 6'4" and too tall to work in the fields for long, so I worked moving the leaves into the houses for the girls to hang and dry. Hope everyone has a pleasant day. Another rainy day about 50 degrees here in CT.
