I have always smoked some so called cigars (much like abstract art this is up for debate) like the good ole' fishing stand-by gold and mild. Recently, now that I have discretionary funds I have been trying real, natural wrapper, non-drugstore cigars. I know a new hobby requires trying all the facets, however this weekend I tried a Hoyo De Montenero 90 rated cigar(forgive the spelling) and enjoyed it greatly. I was wondering if anyone could offer some similar cigars or at least some of your favorites I could try. Also, I am looking for a good humidor for under 50 bucks, is there such a beast?

Thanks

definately try cusano hermanos if you like mild smokes.

as for the humidor go the http://www.cigar.com and check out the other section under accessories. They sell scratch and dents really cheap.

Blaw, welcome to the world of cigars. Many good smokes out there, hard to suggest something though. So many varieties and so many different tastes and preferences. In regards to a cheap humidor, look at your local tobacconist for humipacks. This is an inexpensive way to store cigars. You might also consider a tupperware container and a damp sponge, hygrometers are readily availabe thru Radio Shack. That is another inexpensive way to get started until your certain you going to stay with your new found hobby. Once your sure, you will have no use for a cheap humidor, so save your money to buy smokes.

Hey Blaw,

I see your also asking about flavored cigars. Just a word of wisdom, your not going to want to store your flavored cigars with your unflavored cigars. You will ruin your unflavored cigars. The two don't mix, if your planning on dabbling in both, you may want to consider two storage units of what ever type you choose to go with.
