on the grass
Ive been keeping up on my resolutions every year. Not only are they attainable but they have improved my life.

A few years ago i made a resolution to go out drinking with my friends more. this was done so that i would be more social instead of sitting around the house doing nothing. It worked. and to tell the truth, i drink less then ever.

The next year i made a resalution to get a 10% + raise. It was alot of hard work but i did.

Last year i made a resolution to get the promotion i had been working so hard for over the previous 18 months. 2 months ago i got it.

This year i have two.
1) Spend less effort on getting more cigars and more effort on making use out of the cigars i already have

B) to volunteer in my community at least once a week. Since i like to cook and i am serve safe cerified, i plan on working for the local food bank and soup kitchens.

I used to volunteer a lot when i was younger and i always had a good time doing so. I kind of slipped away from it when i went to college. this is my chance to get back into it.

what are your resolutions, if any?

Those are really good ones, kuzi16.

It's amazing how helping others is so good for you. There are plenty of things I worry about in this world and helping others is my way of having some sort of power to change things for the possitive.

I never really make New Years resolutions. That said, I know there are things I need to focus on. . . I really need to watch my weight. Save money. Try not to stress on the negative, enjoy the possitive. Appreciate what I have and who I share it with.

I know I need to slow things down. I keep myself so busy that I sometimes feel like there's not enough time in the day.

I here by resolve to continue drinking Folgers coffee and smoke cigars ROTT. I Resolve to age a few of my better smokes at least 30 days past the date they arrive at my doorstep.

I made a New Years Resolution about 15 or so years ago and it is the only one I have kept thus far; "To stop making New Years Resolutions".

Those are very good resolutions, Matt. Especially doing some volunteer work. Every little bit helps. I have a few for myself this year. I have always enjoyed wines. A nice wine shop in my town is doing a 4 week wine course in February. I think this will be a lot of fun and I look forward to learning more about all wines and buying and enjoying better wines. I plan on trying a different wine every week and possibly pairing with different cigars as well. Should be fun and a good learning experience. I also have been a memeber of our town's Republican committee since I moved here in 2000. I have been asked to run for different offices a few times and have declined because of work and family. I will run for some Board this year as my youngest will be 8 this year and I will have a little more time to devote. Yeah- I know this sound like a bunch of "me" resolutions, but I still will do my volunteer work at church and with my scouts etc. I hope all my Brothers & Sisters have a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous 2008 and enjoy many Fine cigars.
