A couple weekends ago a few of us gathered together in teh Texas Hill Country for a shoot and feast. Our hosts made a couple pots of stew, one lamb, one beef. He owns a little patch and has his own range laid out.
Unfortunately we must have spoken about it too much cause Mother Nature heard about the gathering and dropped the temperature about 20 degrees and welcomed us with a nice misty rain. Still, between showers we managed to get in some shooting.
The rest of the day was spent on the deck, looking out over miles of rolling hills. Hot steaming stew, 20 year old Port and good cigars made the day. As we sat just enjoying the moment, a full double rainbow broke out in the East. They were as bright as any I have ever seen and you could see the touch downs on both rainbows on both ends.
What a day.
